Potty training 2 year old.

Has anyone potty trained? I just started today with my daughter and I don’t know how to feel. I just want to give up lol 😭😭 she’s so smart but she keeps having accidents and then comes to me and says she peed herself. But like how can I get her to realize she needs to pee before she just does it on herself?!?

Don't push her. Because if you push them to go potty, they delay longer. I'm kinda in the same boat with my son but it's hard.

Pay attention to how much time between accidents and then set a reminder alarm for a little less time than that to put her on the potty

I’m here to learn, I haven’t started yet, I need tips

That’ll happen they have to learn to control it, after about 2 days they realize it. So just give it time. It took my son 3 days to be potty trained, I did the naked method. The first couple days he would tell me when he was doing it or just after and by the 3rd day he understood how to control it

I’m not. She is fully aware and enjoys the potty. She doesn’t show any resistance.

good idea!!!

I almost wish I’d bought books 😂

I was doing underwear but we’ve already changed it six times. I think it reminds her of the diaper so now I’ve just taken it completely and let her be naked as well.

I'm going through the exact same thing. I've been using training underwear. She peed all 5 pairs in the first few hours.
I think I'm going to go the naked method too

I’ve just been taking him to the bathroom when I know he needs to go, to set a positive tone for it and get him to realize that he controls when he goes. sometimes when he doesn’t really need to, he pushed a lot anyway and still pees and that’s a good sign. I’m very slowly transitioning, still haven’t decided to fully dive in cause yeah he needs to be super ready or else it’s just more work than I have to

Can someone please explain in steps how to potty trained, I haven’t started yet but I bought the step toilet but my daughter is afraid of it, should I get her a small potty? Help please

Avatar

I set a timer every 20 minutes and that worked for me😊after a few days accidents happened but he started feeling uncomfortable when he was wet so he started going by himself

Avatar

we use the small potty because my daughter also is scared of the big one lol

thanks so much for sharing!!! That’s exactly what we did, I have her potty in the living room for easier access and makes it easier for her to see and remember. I did the no bottoms yesterday but today she asked me for underwear so I just gave it to her and I’ll see how she does. And wow you did two at once. 😭😭 I never realized that when you have twins that also means DOUBLE potty training 😂

Post partum dad

I have a 2 month old. A few weeks ago my husband crashed out because he didn't feel like he was getting to bond with her. I started exclusively breastfeeding around that time and honestly didnt see the big deal. Baby and I left for a few days and when we got back home, everything was fine. He was extremely hands-on. He helped with my meals, her bedtime, bath, stories.....for a few weeks it was great. Then he randomly sounds depressed af. He says our lo is better off without him, he wants to sleep all day , he asks me not to watch tv then tried playing a video game. He refused to reply to me when i asked any follow-up questions. Then he woke up our baby trying to race me to the bathroom first thing in the morning . He's doing a weird mix of crying, trying, and giving up. Im starting to feel like I cant handle him not being able to handle life with baby and just want to be alone. Are there resources for men?

My friend is over from another country but I don't feel like leaving the house

One of my old friend's is visiting where I currently live and we agreed to meet up today but I feel so tired and exhausted from everything that's been going on with me. I feel if I meet her I'm going to end up having another breakdown from the exhaustion which I have been having often. I'm just thinking about how I need to rest to be able to deal with my toddler and go back to work on Monday without feeling like I need another weekend. I'm torn on what to do so I need you guys to help me decide

Weaning

Hello mamas, could I get some advice please with how and what to wean as started this week with my baby but not really what to give and when what time day. Have started with puree vegetables and making them myself and offering it in the evening to my baby but she tends to get irritated and tired and has a few spoonfulls and then gives up and has a meltdown. So I’m questioning myself am I feeding her wrong time of day and what’s best to mix the food with milk or baby rice please.

Do I need to pay anything when my child starts school in September

I'm a new mum and obviously didn't grow up in the uk. I currently pay roughly £640 for nursery fees. I'm wondering if my expenses will reduce when my LO starts school or there'll be other expenses (besides bags, uniform etc) will my expenses be anywhere close to £600 monthly?

People telling you your baby is hungry..

I know people don’t always mean it in a bad way and are trying to relate, but when people say my baby is hungry when chewing his hands. I feed him regularly. He eats pretty much every 2 hours. He isn’t hungry, he just loves chewing and exploring his hands. Or they say something about teething, which it is also not, as he isn’t unsettled with it. I have looked into it myself and can be common and neither of those things! He has done it most of the day since 2 months old.
