My LG is 7 months and 2 weeks .. we’ve been super super lucky and she’s always been pretty easy to settle for naps and bedtime and slept pretty much through the night from very early on. The last week or so has been hard although she’s still sleeping through it’s such a fight to get her to sleep especially at bedtime. She will no longer let us rock her to sleep, she then would fall asleep whilst on our lap in the rocking chair with her comforter and sometimes a bottle now we’re having to lay her down, hand on her chest to stop her from rolling over (and crawling and standing up) 🤦🏻♀️ and she’s so upset in this process. Is this just a sleep regression or what is happening 😩 feel so guilty her going to sleep so upset!

My LO is also trickier at night these days and she's 7 and a half months.I think it's some sort of developmental leap-learning so many new things and so much more aware of everything.I think they just want to be awake to practice it all!I'm sure it will pass.

Mine is the same! She used to be so good at self soothing and sleeping through the night. I think it’s a sleep regression, ours didn’t really have one at 4 months and so I have read that it can just be later for babies. I’ve also read that there’s so many developmental changes around about now that can also cause this e.g being more stimulated by environment so finding it hard to settle, separation anxiety intensely kicking in around 29 weeks so they don’t want to be by themselves.

We’ve been thinking about ditching the dummy as this also keeps her awake when it falls out constantly
