Early morning rise for a month now?

LG 16 months used to sleep till 7-7.30am but for about a month now she’s been up 5.40am which has now gone to 5am 🥴 this has happened if she has a short afternoon nap and long so this hasn’t affected it. She’s normally asleep 6.30-7pm, we tried a bit later like 7.30-8 but no difference though haven’t tried that again recently as she’s so tired by 6! Just wondering if it’s part of leap 10/regression but it’s killing me 😪 only change I can think of is she’s no longer self settling and depends on us now so if her eyes open and we’re not there she’s up! let me know if you’re going through something similar!

Exactly the same here. Has she dropped to one nap a day?

My boy’s the same (16 months) He never used to be up any earlier than 7am but now it’s 5/5.30am. I’ve tried shorter afternoon naps and later bedtimes but nothing makes a difference. I now just put him to bed at 6-6.30 just so I know he’s getting a decent amount of sleep, also make sure I get to bed at a decent time too 😂 I feel your pain, days seem so much longer now they start so early 😴

yep she dropped to 1 nap a while ago I’d say beginning of June!

if lots of mums are going through the same then surely it’s regression related! Just can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel right now 😴

Maybe! Is it dark in your girls room? I think with it being summer and the heat that might be part of it. I’m hoping it will get better once the mornings are darker 🤞

yep blackout blinds so her room stays very dark in the mornings! How does your little one fall asleep? Before I used to leave her in cot and leave the room and she’d settle herself quickly. Since this started she screams if I leave the room so now we sit with her until she’s asleep but I think when her eyes open she expects us there and maybe that’s why she’s up early! It’s a guessing game!

He still falls asleep in my arms, he has his milk then I get him to sleep and put him in his cot. I’ve never bothered with trying to get him to self settle, I’m making the most of it 😂 He also does most nights wake up any time between 2-4am in his cot and is in my bed for the last couple of hours so that can’t be his issue as he wakes up next to me. I think we’ve just got to ride it out and hope it’s something that will pass 😫😴

Avatar

definitely seems like something we need to ride out as if he’s still waking up while next to you then what else could it be!! Wishing it ends for you asap too 🥹

Avatar

And you! Give it a few years and we will be struggling to get them out of bed to get ready for school 😂😂

Same here. He used to wake at 7/7.30 it's now 6-6.30 and has been for a couple of weeks. I'm hoping it's a regression. I have just ordered some black out curtains to see if that helps 🤞

My daughter was the same so she just has one nap now from 11-1 and she wakes later again. If she sleeps any later than 3 she’ll wake early. Also if there’s a day she hasn’t done much running about she seems to wake up earlier so I try keep her very active to tire her out every day 😂 X

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

When does it get better?

I was crying on the phone with the perinatal mental health team today and the lovely lady, bless her, kept assuring me that it gets better. I kept telling her I hope so because people have been saying that since having my LO and it just feels like it keeps getting worse. She assured me it gets better....

Crawling

Did anyone’s little one start crawling yet? I feel like we are falling behind but really have no idea. I’m trying to introduce more floor time but it’s been rough because of having hardwood floors and our 80 lb oblivious to life dog. I got us a carpet for the living room and trying to put the dog out more when the weather allows. She sits like a pro and will roll to get the things she needs😅 but no real signs of crawling yet.

I bloody hate reflux!

How much milk would you say this is?( after a 6oz bottle) My 3 month old is bunged up, full of yet another cold and it's made her reflux worse.

She's already on gaviscon but that's the most shes ever spat up in one go. She's also been teething for the last few weeks too 🙄
