So these last few days have been rough between me and my boyfriend. He went through a rough patch that left him like a different person. He was struggling at work which made him constantly depressed, angry, and distant. We've been intimate twice in over a month and even then it felt like he was forcing him self to enjoy it. I've done everything to cheer him up, support him, and show him nothing but love. He ended up quiting and has been off work for 2 weeks now. He doesn't help around the house and just wants to play video games. A couple of days I made his favorite meal (bacon chicken Alfredo) I changed the recipe a little to test and he did nothing but complain about it. Then while I was busy with our 4 year old ate 2 more bowls full (one of which was my supper) yesterday I was super stressed and on the verge of tears I was so frustrated. He didn't ask if I was okay, instead he kept sending our 4 year old to ask me what was for supper. Then when I started to have a full blown break down he grabbed his keys said he was going for a drive and disappeared for 2 hours! When I said it was suspicious he freaked out that I was "accusing him of cheating" bit I never said that. Last night before bed I tried to explain what I was feeling he left to go hang out with his friend and was gone for a few hours. I ended up sleeping on the couch last night and when he came home he woke me up and asked me to come to bed. When I said no he mumbled "fucking fine. Whatever" then went to bed. He hasn't spoken to me today. Am I wrong for being mad?
He's NEVER been like this. He's normally the most kind, caring, and funny person ever.

No I’d be really mad too. All of that is not okay.

I’d be mad too. Sometimes when things are really tough this same dynamic happens with my husband so I’m all ears if anyone has solutions.

It's upsetting and frustrating because he's not even trying and all you are doing is trying. He doesn't get to act this way and expect you to be fine. Whatever he's going through, he needs to address. It's not going to improve with avoidance. Relationships take work and it can't be one sided. Sit down, hold hands and look him in the eye. Tell him you're concerned that all these changes are interfering with your relationship. You want him to be okay, so that you can be partners and co-parent your baby together ❤️ If he doesn't want and refuses to help himself, there's really nothing you can say or do because it's up to him to solve this problem. He won't have any healthy relationships at this rate. All you can do is try to motivate and support him to deal with his mental health. Good luck!

Sit him down and both have a conversation about you like about each other and things you don't. Try understand each others views points. If he doesn't agree to do this, show him the front door and tell him not to come back until he starts acting like man that starts providing for his family.
