Not crying when waking up

Hi all! Does anyone else’s toddler not cry when they’ve woke up? We’ve never done any type of sleep training and most morning she could easily spend an hour just chilling in the cot laid down but with her eyes open. How normal is this? I’ve gotten it into my head that at some points if me and my parent have been really tired we’ve accidentally let her cry it out 😂 also if your toddler is the same how long do you leave them in the crib? Sometimes it’s nice to just sit and wake myself up or get ready/make breakfast but I feel kind of bad she’s in there awake!

Mine does this, but not for quite that long. I usually let her play for a bit (she stretches, chats to herself, and then pulls some soft toys in for a morning meeting 😂). She shouts for me after 10-15 minutes, or I go in and join in her game.
I've also never sleep-trained her and have worried, the same as you, that I've accidentally ignored her at some point. Xx

My boy does this sometimes not always. And not for as long as 1 hr... but maybe around 15-20 min. Sometimes he goes back to sleep, other times he'll stand up in his cot and wait for me or call out if im taking time (i watch him on the monitor).

I am the same as you!
I was worried about being too tired and not hear her or something.
Usually she wakes up and if I wouldn't hear her talking to herself or kicking the wall I wouldn't know she is awake.
She plays there happily for an hour or goes back to sleep after 15 20 mins. Meanwhile I get ready, change his brothers nappy and clothes and make breakfast. I feel bad too but I leave her there because as soon as I get her out of the bed she wants food and whining until she gets her breakfast 😅 so this is for my own mental health hehe
If she calls me I get her and she gets some cereal and milk as it is fast enough and then I make breakfast.
She does this since about 9 months old. How about you?

my daughter is exactly the same either sits in there happy for maybe 20 mins and then either falls asleep or continues just chilling in there!
I don’t blame you one bit it’s so nice sometimes to get everything ready in the morning because as soon as their out the cot it’s go go go 😂
It’s a new thing for my daughter, she’s been sleeping so much better atm aswell usually we’d have to go in there 1/2 times a night but atm it’s like she’s asleep within 10 mins and that’s her for 12/13 hours!

I am happy for you, that's a really good long sleep ☺️
I am lucky as I sleep trained her at 6 months so she slept through the night from 7 months
And since 😁 there is and odd wake up here and there if she is ill or woke up once because of her teeth but that's it.

Mine wakes up in the morning and will happily chat away in his cot. No crying, like ever and he would probably be okay in there for like 30mins. I get dressed then go get him. He has always been like this and is the happiest to see me in the morning.

My little one will often wake up from a nap or in the morning and happily just lay/sit in her cot for a good while! If I need to get ready I'll leave her in there for as long as she's happy, but the moment she hears us moving about it talking she'll start crying for us! It's really positive for developing their confidence as they become accustomed to and comfortable either their own company.
Also you won't have accidentally let her CIO, if she was ever truly distraught and you were asleep, you would have woken up 😊

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

When does it get better?

I was crying on the phone with the perinatal mental health team today and the lovely lady, bless her, kept assuring me that it gets better. I kept telling her I hope so because people have been saying that since having my LO and it just feels like it keeps getting worse. She assured me it gets better....

Crawling

Did anyone’s little one start crawling yet? I feel like we are falling behind but really have no idea. I’m trying to introduce more floor time but it’s been rough because of having hardwood floors and our 80 lb oblivious to life dog. I got us a carpet for the living room and trying to put the dog out more when the weather allows. She sits like a pro and will roll to get the things she needs😅 but no real signs of crawling yet.

Night time routine

Heya, my 3 week old daughter is currently exclusively breastfed and I’m not pumping. Can anyone recommend the best way to share the load with my partner? At the moment I’m doing all the feeds/burbs/settling and my partner is sleeping through which obviously isn’t sustainable, I’m trying to work out the best way to get him involved. Any advice very much appreciated!
