I’m due on the 21st and I found out a week ago I’m getting my own house (we thought we were going to have to live with my parents for a while).
The only thing is that the moving date is late October which isn’t an issue as help from friends and family. I’m just stressed as I really want to start organising stuff for the baby but feel like I can’t do that until I’m like 8 months pregnant. How do I keep my mind busy?

I’ve been having the same issue as were buying a house and have been waiting forever for a date.
I’ve been setting myself a budget to buy a little haul of baby stuff that I can store once a month. Sorting through what I get and packing it into box’s as helped with the feeling of wanting to nest.
I’m still wanting to get in the house asap but i at least feel like I’m doing something to prepare

I’ve literally got all the stuff as hand me downs and all bought pretty much as I wasn’t expecting to be moving out. It makes things worse as I don’t even have the space to buy house bits yet 😭all the baby’s stuff is in bags or stacked away it’s stressing me out xx

I'm kind of in the same boat. So I bought my house before I met my husband , and it turns out there was a lot of damp more than i was told by seller or surveyor! And Over time this eroded the electrial wires so it's just not safe for any of us, of course we wanted to get this fixed before baby came so it's getting fixed currently but being 29W5D mean that when it's done I'll too be nesting at 8 months (DD 1st Nov) so I'll be in a mad rush to get it done. I've also just found out I can't decorate because apparently plastering takes 6 months to dry >.<

@Hannah
I'm sure you'll get there. You don't have yo get everything done at once. It would be nice, yeah, sure. But safety and security are a top priority! I completely understand where you're coming from, but you're doing a great job just venturing on your own with a newborn. Plus, I'm sure when baby comes, you'll be so focused on them, and you'll not really care about the house thing if you have the essentials x

Could you get all the baby stuff you need ready for the move and then it's only a case of getting it set up in the new house?
I would be stressing, too as we have all the furniture and travel gear sorted, I feel like I'd need to know I had the stuff.

I’ve got most of the stuff already other than new mattresses for the crib and next to me as they were hand me downs from other people but it’s just the case of not really knowing what I have got all together. I feel the urge to nest and set everything up and ready but can’t do it yet xx
