My baby is almost 10 weeks old and he’s still waking every four hours during the night but when he does wake he will only take 1-2 ounces when he usually will do 5 in the day? Sometimes he’ll wake at 3am for 1-2ounces and then wake at 5am for a full feed and is wide awake. Can I cut out the 3am feed?! He’s not crying for it but will grunt and wiggle and eat his hand and it’s impossible to sleep through, have given dummy but he will spit it out.

Doesn’t sound like he’s hungry at all, just needs a bit of comfort. How many feeds does he have during the day? They only need 5 ounces (150ml) for every kilo of their own body weight so if he is getting that during the day I would try to just comfort him instead. Try a different dummy sometimes it just takes the right shape of nipple that they like along with patting or rubbing him. Lots of little strokes to his face where he can feel you and smell you.

for my LO (same age), i cut off her night feeds. I dont feed her after 1am, if she wakes up i just rock her back to sleep & that has helped her get 6-8 hour stretches to sleep, we are still getting the tweaks out with that part lol but for the most part she is pretty content not eating through the night, she is actually crankier if i try to feed her then rather than putting her back to sleep

can I just ask what does LO stand for??

little one x

oh haha of course 😂 thanks I see it all the time and couldn’t figure that out
I usually do a dream feed but he still wakes up at 3am on the dot!

Yes girl cut it lol I been cut my 230 feeding I let her wake me up in the night for her bottle now the doctor said it’s ok and he said you can feed her when ever you like now when ever she’s hungry. So I have the bottle ready but I let her tell me she wants it. She’s still sticking to the schedule time she just holds out or starts being fussy maybe 45 mins to a hour after her scheduled time. I notice she’s less gassy this way but I do have the bottle ready for when she calls because missy does not play about her food.
