My daughter at the moment is going through u only want mummy stage to the point she told my husband she didn’t like him.
Constantly we have throughout the day I don’t want you daddy, not you daddy, get out of my bed at bedtime. My 1 year old gets off the sofa to move so she is giving me a cuddle and not him.
It’s starting to really upset him and don’t know how to change it.
He is an amazing dad, it just happens that childcare often falls 66% me, 33% him but that’s due to work commitments.
Any tips on how to move past it?

We have this but the other way around! As soon as daddy is home or the weekend it's all daddy daddy daddy. He physically pushes me out of the way because he doesn't want me, won't let me change his nappy etc etc. no advice but you're not alone, it's painful😣 I heard some advice somewhere for the non favorite parent to say I'm sorry we can't have mummy right now. That's so sad isn't it! Can you tell me you're favorite thing about mummy, and we can tell her later/in the morning? I think it was geared to bedtime.

We had this a while back I think it’s very common although upsetting you’re definitely not alone.
So between me and my husband he wanted me all the time and he was so bad for wanting my dad too(his grandad) which really upset my mum. She only had to walk into the room and he would tell her to leave, they’re brutal little people.
I would say you just have to try and ride it out and not react too much when they’re being like that so that you’re not encouraging the behaviour to worsen. We also found it helped for the favourite person to include the other person. Me and my dad would often say grandma will put your shoes on for you because grandad needs to do ……
Or things like I can’t open that packet can you ask grandma to help me? And the same sorts of things with his dad.
That way the favourite person is showing the child that the other person is good and we want them to be involved, maybe see if that helps?
