Tonie box Vs Yoto Player

Looking into both of these for my little one does anyone have any experience with either or a recommendation for one over the other?

Yoto's selection is massive. They also have something called yoto club that you pay about £12 per month and you get 2 credits per month to get free cards (cards range from £6 to about £10, the Harry Potter ones are more expensive. You also get free shipping and 10% off on cards outside of club. You get credits that can be used to apply discounts for later purchases too. You can even make your own cards.

I find cards are easier to keep and maintain. The figurines can add up quickly and can be tricky to keep. The cards are easier.

thanks for your input! I think I'm also leaning this way because I think the figurines on the toy box would be seen more as a toy than the cards for the yoto

Team yoto, we’ve had the mini and the original for over a year now and our 2 year old loves it.

Plus it’s cheaper, more selection, original voices used unlike the tonies, it’s a nightlight, lullaby radio, podcasts, app has it all on your phone downloaded so you don’t need to even carry anything to listen xx

Yoto! The longevity on it is far better than the tonie. It’s also got more functions than the tonie. We use it as a white noise machine and night light as well as the podcasts and cards. The cards are a million times easier to take out anywhere (car, holiday, families houses etc) and much easier to store as well.

I bought my son a tonie for his 2nd birthday and he loves it, he uses it everyday however, I’m buying him a yoto mini for his 3rd birthday this month. Yoto has way more variety, the content is longer, cards are cheaper, the yoto mini seems more portable than the tonie box and the yoto cards have more of a selection for older children so it’ll grow with him for example they have cards for learning other languages, phonics, maths etc

When did you circumcise your baby?
If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.
opinions about how not necessary it is will not be appropriate for this post. Thank you in advance. 🩵

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

When does it get better?

I was crying on the phone with the perinatal mental health team today and the lovely lady, bless her, kept assuring me that it gets better. I kept telling her I hope so because people have been saying that since having my LO and it just feels like it keeps getting worse. She assured me it gets better....

Crawling

Did anyone’s little one start crawling yet? I feel like we are falling behind but really have no idea. I’m trying to introduce more floor time but it’s been rough because of having hardwood floors and our 80 lb oblivious to life dog. I got us a carpet for the living room and trying to put the dog out more when the weather allows. She sits like a pro and will roll to get the things she needs😅 but no real signs of crawling yet.

Night time routine

Heya, my 3 week old daughter is currently exclusively breastfed and I’m not pumping. Can anyone recommend the best way to share the load with my partner? At the moment I’m doing all the feeds/burbs/settling and my partner is sleeping through which obviously isn’t sustainable, I’m trying to work out the best way to get him involved. Any advice very much appreciated!
