My daughter absolutely still loves her paci and honestly is the easiest way to get her to sleep…but it’s time to let go. Any advise?

Personally I’m going to wait til he’s nearer two so we can talk about the fairies giving it to actual babies & swap it for a present etc. feel he’s too young right Joe and also its a natural pain reliever so helps with teething. But he only has it for nap / bedtime x

Girl I gave up. Going to try when she’s closer to 2.

I’m worried about the same Lol. He is only 4.5 months old but I’m also looking for suggestions.

I’d say you definitely still have time. My LO is 15 months. Her doctor wants to stop with bottles too.

We will wait until 2/3 since he only has it for nap and bedtime (he doesn’t even use all night) we did cut bottles though

how did that go? Was it hard?

it was really hard for like 4 days because my son was REALLY attached to his bottle and giving him milk to sleep would make him fall asleep in 10 minutes lol I started offering his favorite straw cup with milk before starting the bedtime routine and then the first 2 days I gave him the bottle with water. He cried missing the milk but at least had the bottle to cuddle. The third day we switched to the straw cup with water and he REAAAAALLY cried but we offered tons of cuddles and he finally let it go. But that was it! Pacifier usually is the hardest to let go.
Our dentist told us that the bottle is worse than the pacifier, even more the milk on their teeth overnight without brushing. He explained that pacifiers are more of a worry if is a all day thing and after 2/3 years old. Its fixable though but the sugar overnight in their teeth is a much bigger concern

You definitely need to prepare yourself and commit because it did make longer for him to fall asleep by himself and is so easy to get stressed out knowing that you can literally give a bottle and fix the problem. We started the process with the pacifier very slowly, my son doesn’t use during the day unless he is teething really bad or we are stuck in traffic. He doesn’t miss it during the day anymore and now Im starting to take away once he falls asleep during nap time. Its hard, many days that I do that he will only have a short nap and I have to go back there and hopefully restart that nap 😂

Frida baby has a paci weaning set but really it's just a thick paci that's shorter each level
