Does anyone else stress over the monthly milestones?? I have anxiety ever. single. month. My daughter does things on the later side in some areas and I freak out every month she’s behind.
Right now I’m panicking about her communication skills, imitation, speech etc. I feel like my anxiety isn’t helping her and probably adding unnecessary stress but I can’t stop.
Anyone else feel the same or just me? lol. My mom always tells me to quit freaking out because these didn’t even used to be a thing and babies do things at their own pace. But the internet sucks me in.

Yes. I stress about all of them. It makes me wonder what I’m doing wrong, if something’s wrong with him, etc.
He’s 11 months and still can’t drink from a straw. I just have to tell myself that this stuff will come with time.

I used to but then I realized that my daughter will meet them when she's ready. We have to remember that social media are only highlights of people's lives. If your pediatrician is not concerned, you shouldn't be either. It's also unhealthy to compare our children to others. Especially as they start to get older. You wouldn't want them to feel like they're disappointing you if they're having a hard time with, say spelling, while their best friends always get A's. I bet your baby is ahead on other things that you don't even think about or realize.

i keep reminding myself that everyone is unique
