Make a second account with fewer personal details/friends to join certain groups?
If it's public you can't If it is a private or closed group they can't see it or what is in it unless they join!
Unorthodox suggestion? Easy. Just don't have Facebook. It gets more poisonous for the brain every day. They don't care about your privacy. That's a losing battle. Probably my least favorite thing about Facebook is how it tells all your friends about the comments you make on public pages, like it's their business. Why? It's not like I'm revealing dark secrets or anything, but it would be like having a random conversation with a stranger in Target, and everyone in your social circle getting an alert to tune in. Everybody listen to Kenzie's thoughts on shampoo! Look! Look! Ugh. I'll never delete it because of the memories, but I try to stay away from it altogether. Because I do the same thing everyone else does when I get on: mindlessly scroll through mental junk food. And yes, 95% of "friends" status updates count as junk. Like, we've never needed to know what our classmates are up to beyond class reunions. These days I go months without logging in. It feels good. That's my advice! Lol
You can't. If a group is a private group your friends will not see unless they are in that group too. Otherwise everyone can see
