Colostrum harvesting makes me feel a bit queasy :S

I’ve noticed when I’m manually trying to harvest my colostrum I start feeling a bit sweaty and queasy. Has anyone else felt anything similar?

I’d probably talk to your OB. I didn’t harvest colostrum but I haven’t heard of this happening before and just wouldn’t want you to have any issues!

There’s no need to do this unless there’s a chance that baby will have a stay in NICU and/or you will not be able to breastfeed baby in the hospital for some reason. You want to latch baby immediately after birth and they will receive the colostrum they need then.

I never harvested colostrum, I would feel nauseous like this while breastfeeding, and it was because 1- I was dehydrated, and you need to drink so much more water to produce breast milk (especially high fat colostrum) and 2, I am severely anemic and didn't know it at the time, so he was taking all of my energy and nutrients, and water supply.

Newborn outing

When did you first take your newborn out in public places? He’ll be 6 days old tomorrow, is it too soon? It’s just I have a 4 year old and it’s Easter holidays so I feel bad staying in x

Baby Measuring Small

Hey mamas 🤍
I’m currently pregnant and just found out my baby girl is measuring in the 3rd percentile for weight. My doctor said everything else on the ultrasound looked normal (heartbeat is good, etc.), but because she’s small they’re sending me to London for a more detailed scan.
I’m really anxious, especially after everything I’ve been through, and I’m just wondering…
Has anyone else had a baby measuring this small during pregnancy?
What ended up happening? Were your babies okay?
I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences—good or bad—just so I know what to expect 💛

Mucus plug?

I’m currently 35 weeks and pretty sure I lost my mucus plug yesterday, clear no bloody show but have been experiencing cramps In my lower stomach and occasionally top of my stomach near my ribs. I didn’t think anything of it at first because I know the plug can regenerate and I’ve had braxton hicks for a while but I’ve felt more pressure in my lower stomach since yesterday and have felt like I need to pee way more than usual due to the pressure so now I’m unsure if I should contact the midwife?

need some advice girlies

so I have been told my baby is on the bigger side and thats all i can remember from my last appointment 2 weeks ago lol...
I didnt ask any questions like what is he weighing or what will the out come be and that was down to I had to much information on my head to ask my diet nurse as I have been diagnosed with GD...so my main goal was to ask them questions on what I can eat and cant eat so I dont keep spiking lol..
so getting to the point I haven't went natural im on my second baby and my first baby was born 6.5 though the graph they use to measure baby it was all over the place one measured him big then another small so they decided to bring me in for the sweep and then next thing I knew I was being brought in 10 days earlier than my due date to be induced as they said he will be better out than in but he was a healthy boy and is still growing and healthy 7 years later.
So my question is how is a c section is it scary, what's the recovery time, how early can you start driving and getting back to normal life sorry ive all these questions as never actually thought that a c section could be in the basket....only reason im asking is because of being told baby is on the bigger side but ive an appointment on the 13th so I will actually know better then what is he weighing and what would the outcome be now that I dont need to ask any questions about GD its all now questions about my babies weight and what labour ill be going through...by time that appointment comes up ill be 30 and 6 days so im hoping im able to get a good bit of information
