Toddler acting like a baby

I have a 3 year old, and he's super excited about being a big brother. But recently he's been really clingy to me and keeps pretending to be a baby. He crawls on the floor or onto my lap babbling like a baby "goo goo ga ga". And if he's having a drink he likes to sit on my lap and I have to hold his water bottle like I'm giving a baby a bottle of milk. I'm fairly certain this is normal, he's starting to realise he's not going to be "the baby" of the family any more. But I'm not sure how to act, should I go along with it or discourage it? Anyone else with older kids dealing with similar??

My little girl who is 3 & a half has been doing similar things. Saying I just want to be a baby again. I’m just going with it for now and just talking her through that it’s really exciting being a bug girl because she can do x,y,z and show baby how to do all these things too xxx

I keep telling my 3yo that’s it’s much funner being a big girl. That means she can eat all her fave things (like ice cream) and play with her friends. I’ve been reading a book which says similar things and it does seem to be helping. She still has her baby moments but as you say it’s normal x
