I feel so upset recently because my little boy doesn’t seem to want me as he wants everyone else. I pick him up from nursery and he’s a little extra whiny. But he doesn’t calm down on me, but as soon as he goes to my Mother-in-law he’s absolutely fine. I just feel so heartbroken and I can’t stop crying because he’s been like this for a good month or so and I just feel like I can never have us time. As soon as he sees my in-laws, he just cries to get away from me. Mother-in-law has tried to make him clingy to her only and it seems like it’s working and I feel so rejected by my baby.

You’re the parent :) you assert yourself, you ask you MIL to give you some space (move out if you can!!) and you carve out time for just you two. The bond will bounce back ❤️

They also say babies and toddlers cry more with their mamas cos you're their safe space to let their feelings out. Don't worry mama, you're baby loves you no matter what, and if your MIL is overstepping boundaries then a gentle conversation about it should help xxxx 💕
Thank you, I’ve decided we’re going to go out after nursery pickup just to have some us time and no interference x

Sounds perfect 💕

Such a great idea! Now with the beautiful weather, going for a walk to the park or playing at the playground has been our after nursery routine too. It’s just such a great time to bond but also just to have fun together.

Is he your first? I was the same with my first? With my 2nd son I do love him lots but I don't mind him forming bonds with others ☺️
