My husband has been awful this whole pregnancy. He cheated on me multiple times during my first trimester and has since had this cycle of being good for a week and then being verbally abusive. He blames me for the cheating and also keeps telling me that he never wanted the baby and that I should have gotten rid of it. He also keeps telling me things like I'll never get a good man, no one will have me, I'm easy etc.
We have been living separately from 15 weeks, he's been having a blast at his mums house while I've been dealing with this extremely tough pregnancy. I'm now 27 weeks. We have spoken about keeping a channel open to communicate about the baby because recently he has been saying he might change and want to be part of the baby's life once he's here and I would be selfish to block him and keep him away from his son.
I'll have a few days of peace and then get a random barrage of abuse over text. It's getting extremely hard for me to bare and I'm considering just blocking him and all his enablers for good. I'm not sure if this is the right thing to do?
Any advice? X

You should block him. He is very unstable, unpredictable and erratic. To protect yourself and the child. You should get legal advice because if he is on the birth certificate he has parental responsibility, and you should play legally smart. For example block him from phone contact but write a professional email for the fact there should be no contact and he is unstable but check with your lawyer first.

Just block. I’ve been through the same thing. It’s so hard
Thank you, I'm thinking to just keep him off the birth certificate at this point.

You should keep him off

I would block him and tell him that his mum ( if you are on good terms) can message you for updates. Definitely try to avoid putting him on the birth certificate x

The father of my daughter said when he found out I was pregnant that he didn’t want to be a dad. I wish I stuck with his first answer as he stuck around for about 3 months with seeing her once every week or two and now he’s disappeared on us. Nearly two years later and I still feel awful about it all as she deserves more and I’m so glad he didn’t show up to be on the birth certificate. I’d never spoken to his mom but now we speak regularly and although she’s in another country she makes an amazing effort for my daughter. Your mental health matters too, don’t second guess yourself and do what’s right for you and your baby it doesn’t matter how other people feel.

This is a husband doing this? 😮
This is crazy.
And fact his own mother enables this kind of behaviour I think your saying.. I’d release yourself from these negative people. Your little one needs your strength and energy. This isn’t any sort of humane human to have around a child learning this is ‘normal’ from a grown adult around or in their life. It usually results in them making poor partner choices as adults. I’ve seen it / experienced it. How your child perceives relationships is so crucial. This man seems so unhealthy
