Little one is 8 and a half months and whenever we sit down for dinner or breakfast any feeding he throws a tantrum tries to grab the spoon and throws food everywhere it’s so tiring he drinks his water fine and just wants water all the time and I do blw sometimes and he eats happily then but I don’t have the energy to clean all the mess he makes with that and some food I need to give with a spoon. Does anyone have any advice please 😩

Unfortunately at this age they want to do it themselves, I hated cleaning the mess up 3 times a day but you just have to embrace it. I actually found it easier in the end letting her eat herself as I could clean dishes while she was eating then clean her straight away when she was done. When you’re feeding something on a spoon give him a spoon to hold x

I think that's really normal, at that age, they are transitioning from liquids to solids and will prefer liquids so give milk and other semi liquids which might help with the frustration. My son was like this, looking back, he was probably overwhelmed by new things on his plate, wanted to eat but don't know what to do with the things in front of him. He ate lots of yogurt and drank lots of milk for a long time, didn't eat much solids, just threw them. He also didn't like the pressure of everyone eating, my almost three year old is ok just starting to be ok to sit down to eat with us for breakfast or dinner
