My little one has always done OK with finger foods in big pieces (strips of toast, triangles or quesadilla, wrap slices, banana spears) but now she rams absolutely everything in her mouth and really really struggles. It's just making meal times a stress. Should I be cutting things smaller now or persevering?

Learn more about our guidelines.Following as in the same position. I have been cutting things smaller and it seems to be much better but not sure if I should be as I guess he’s not learning how to bite correctly from foods where I’m offering it small enough to be put straight in🤷🏼♀️
Right! I know some smaller pieces are good for their picking up skills but I'm worried about the same as you 😅
Do you put the whole meal in front of them or just give a few pieces at a time? We tend to just give a few bits at a time or she just launches it all across the room 😂 but might help slow down how much they’re trying to eat at once.
We started with a full plate and when she became a shoveller went back to individual pieces. But all she does is slam that piece in her mouth and then scream for more and nearly dangles out of her chair with her hands out 😅
