When did you switch your toddler from a crib to a bed?

We made the change when he tried to escape the cot- around 20months xx

I don't think there's a 'right' time. We switched both of ours around 2yo, but if LO is trying to climb out of their cot before then it might make sense to switch earlier. Equally, I don't think there's any issue with waiting longer either

We did around 15 months. To a toddler bed then around 19 months to like a floor bed twin. Only because she was sleeping not great so we wanted a bigger bed to lay with her. If you weren’t gonna do toddler bed like if yours doesn’t change into one. Then I wouldn’t buy one. I’d just get a twin

We took the sides off when he was about 2.5yo, but he’s only recently moved into an actual single bed aged 4

We're planning on doing Montessori bed with the crib mattress soon (18 months) we've just been waiting on some baby proofing steps that our landlord needs to do first

Literally just recently and she turned 3 in December just gone unless they try to climb out I really don’t see the need in upsetting what they are used to. Plus I feel like now she’s this age she understands not to get out c

Around 18 months his cot converted into a toddler bed and then by 2 he had a single bed

A couple of months before he turned 3. His cotbed was supposed to last him until he was 5, but it was creaking every time he moved, which kept waking him up. So we got him a proper toddler bed a few months ago.

My LG was 3 years and 3 months.... She showed some signs of being unhappy at bed time, she said she wanted a big girl bed, and the transition was beyond smooth we have had nil issues at all.

i plan on putting my baby straight into a small double bed when he’s a year old, he’s super long & absolutely wiggled throughout the night, likes to lay at every single angle so i’ll be putting him in a small double on the floor so there’s no fall risk.

Mine was fine in his crib till 3 years old then we switched straight to a low double bed
