I feel weird about husbands comments on clothes

So time to time when we go out, he says things like “that woman’s dress would look good on you” or “you can style yourself just like that” I feel like I have my own idea of what looks good, he doesn’t like what I wear most of the time, and he sees other beautiful women with things he likes, then he makes these comments. Today I snapped and said I don’t like you pointing out other women with the clothes you like ON THEM, and I said they probably won’t fit me the way it fits them, he probably would be disappointed as I’m not shaped like those fit women he points out. I just wish he liked my style, I really don’t want to change my style but I feel like he’ll lose attraction to me. Makes me feel upset or am I just being overly sensitive, I’m 4 months pp so I might be too emotional.

Before you snapped had you mentioned to him that you don't like these sorts of comments and how they make you feel?

Regardless, I'd say he knows now 😅 so hopefully he'll stop. If not then I'd start getting really upset. If I were super hormonal and sleep deprived I'd also probably start getting petty and do it back to him to show how it feels. Not advising it!

My husband has been fucked up many a time but he has NEVER commented on my weight, my body, or my clothing style ever. He has commented that I got “dressed up” to go out with friends better than I do him but he never puts in effort to his appearance so I never did either lol

Now that I have a child, I find myself trying though only because I don’t want to embarrass them 🤷🏼‍♀️

He doesn’t ever compare me to other girls like that. But when I’m scrolling Shein myself looking for a new dress myself for girls night or date night I’ll get his opinion, I’ll scroll next to him and ask “how about that one? Or Would that look good on me you rekon? Or does that look too short on her? It wouldn’t look that short on me because I’m shorter than her it’ll come down lower on me” so I’m initiating the convo if I’m ever talking about dresses for me he’s never ever come out and said that unprompted. Maybe, instead of hearing him compare and point out other girls, scroll a website and ask him for his opinion? My man gets a big head when I’m wearing a dress on date night that’s he’s picked out (after I’ve asked him that is) he brags to whoeve we’re with “I picked that for her” like no I showed you and you agreed 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 Try that??

Kind of a different take, but maybe get one of those dresses hubs has mentioned. See how it looks. Sometimes, it's good to switch it up. And if I've learned anything from those makeover shows, sometimes you have to try something on to see if you really like it...

Nursery funding

My child turned 9 months last week. I applied for government funded hours nearly 2 months ago and so well within the required timeframe for the April term, however upon receiving my first invoice without the funding applied and having questioned this, I have now been informed that the stretched funding doesn’t start until 4th May.

Has anyone else been told it won’t start until May?

The government site states it should start from April 1st, and so I intentionally set my nursery start and return to work as the start of April for that reason, knowing that I wouldn’t be able to afford the nursery on my sole income without the funding

Anyone work for the NHS and does 12 hour shifts? How do you work around childcare and your partners job?

Toddlers

How often are your toddlers asking for food? My oldest who is 3 just finished a whole plate of food and not even 10 minutes later he’s requesting more food. I know he’s going through a growth spurt, but how do you respond to this.

He has no respect for anything to do with me.

Husband and I decided to separate 3 days ago. I've been sleeping on the floor in the kids room, and we both have to stay in the same apartment for a while. He wont stop pushing little things and I am reaching my limit. Photos in comments

Is this normal?

Is it just my husband that does this? He is able to work from home via his computer and in the mornings and evenings he is on there doing his job. When he is done for the day he tends to stay in the room and either play video games or watch something. He will occasionally come out and play with the girls for a few minutes and that’s it but when I really need him he says he is busy. My daughters are both 1 year old now and I am just wondering how much involvement should he have with them now?
Idk if this is the norm or not…..

Identity crisis?

Am I the only sahm who feels like they have lost their identity??? I don’t make money for my family, when I used to make great money. But I refuse to drop my under a year old baby off with strangers.
My husband works so much. But I have no control over bringing in money and I’m a control freak type of person! I feel l like I’m losing my grip because we are kind of broke, but day care would only eat up my income anyways! So what’s the point. I’m a workaholic and now I’m just a twitching bum.
I wish I could work from home but so far that’s a fake dream. I’m almost 9 months pp, and I just need to know these awful mood swings and depression will end soon! Send wine!
