Hi I'm currently 30 weeks pregnant with my son and I have a 3 year old girl and I'm worried about having another kid because my 3 year old is absolutely a terror rn to be around constantly telling us no running into the kitchen not letting us go to the bathroom she has her own room with so many toys and we hang out with her all the time but I can't keep doing it because I'm pregnant I'm tired and she's very clingy and it just feels like a constant struggle with her even my husband doesn't like how she's changed and started acting but I'm scared because what if I give birth and she acts worse or is mean towards her brother and any advice for my husband because he's a stepdad to her and this is all new to him and we don't know what to do

If I were you, I would truly re-evaluate your village. I’m not assuming what your village is like but this sounds like an opportunity to assess if it’s necessary to meet more families/couples with children her age so that she can have playmates and you all can also have your time as adults to have good conversations with other couples while she’s occupied with her new friends as well. Just as she needs peer support, you all need the same as parents of a toddler. Whatever this could look like whether connecting with families at church (assuming you go to church), connecting with families from family library days, or community events etc. almost every child who is the only child depend on their parents to be their playmates when/if they’re not in daycare or at school. Also, what about any extracurricular sports that she can be part of as a toddler where she can meet other toddlers?
