What do I do about my baby rolling in his bassinet? He’s figured out how and it’s all he wants to do, so the second he wakes up he’s turned over and trying to sleep on his belly. He’s only 5 months old.. what do I do? 😅

We moved our son to a mini crib at 3 months because of the same reason. I don’t believe it’s safe for baby to sleep in a bassinet once they can roll, but check with the bassinet manufacturer.

My daughter is about to be six months next week and she started rolling in her bassinet about three weeks ago. She has very good health support and is able to go side to side so I allow her to roll in there as long as your baby has very good head Support just monitor. That’s what I do.

We moved our 5 month old at like 3.5 months because she was starting to show signs of rolling and she kept moving herself in awkward positions which wasn’t safe, so we got a mini crib off amazon so we could still have her in our room and that helped plus she had more room! She now been rolling in her sleep and sleeping on her belly but they say that’s fine as long as they can rollback/move their head so they can breathe. ☺️ I’d definitely check the weight limit on the bassinet and also if they want you to transition with the rolling, most do.

I think it’s safe once they can roll both sides and can hold his head, my baby is also 5 months old and he learned how to stand, so I just transferred him to his crib. Also he sleeps on his belly 🥰
I would only recommend is to take everything he can suffocate with (toys, blankets, plushies, pillows)

We moved my son into his crib at 3.5 months because of this!
