I had a planned csection almost 6 weeks ago and they had to use forceps to get my baby out so i was rocked back and forth alot on the table and ever since my full rib cage has been in so much pain and just under the middle front of my rib cage has been in the most pain to the point i cant lie my baby there because it hurts too much, ive been told its normal but i dont really think it is, i just want to know if anyone else has experienced this and what to do for the pain bc paracetamol hasnt been working?

Is it like trapped air pain? I had that for a while after baby was born.

Wouldn't surprised me if your ribcage is inflammed due to all the rocking.. call 111..I had a emergency c section..was your baby big? Book a appointment with ur GP

yeah thats what it feels like, when did yours go away?

Yep same with me!! My LO was stuck so they really had to pull her out. The table was rocking back and forth and the doc was up on the table pulling her out. I could feel lots of tugging and pulling in my upper abs and it was so much that I couldn’t do skin to skin because it felt like I couldn’t breathe with the weight of her on that area. had the doc come and check me out when I was in hospital afterwards because of how bad the pain was. They confirmed that it was from the C-section and it was bruised abdominal muscles. They said just to take pain relief and rest (I was taking tremadol and that helped) the anti inflammatory also helped a lot! Took voltaran for a bit and then eased to nurophen. Maybe try the anti inflammatory?

thank you sm hope you’re doing okay now
