If you went back to work recently after having third baby, fully remote job. Mom comes over to watch kids while you work. She knows we don’t do sugar (or at least try to avoid giving it to our kids, unless it’s a special occasion). She has a weird obsession with shoving sugar down her grandkids throats.
Anyways, it was a Wednesday afternoon and I was taking a short break and she admits she found ice cream in the freezer and gave some to my 3.5 year old after lunch…..we never do this. The ice cream is for my husband and I to enjoy after kids go to bed 🥲

Learn more about our guidelines. My husband is ready to call her out, and although I’m highly annoyed by it, I don’t want any drama. She doesn’t listen and tends to take everything personally/cry when confronted

She might watch the kids but she has no right to go against your wishes. Tell her to stop.
Let your husband play bad guy if you want since he’s offered- it’s not your responsibility to manage her emotions once she’s called out for ignoring your house rules. She’s a grown woman, she can manage her own emotions.
So my question to you is… what do you want more: to keep the peace or do you want to keep your kids from sugar? Cuz I would think about what I wanted here and move in that direction 💕
