Hi,
Im not normally one to worry, but this is the first time I've been told something isnt perfect in a pregnancy. Im on my 5th baby and I had a growth scan yesterday at 28+6 and the sonographer said babys renal pelvis is prominent at 10.8mm on left and 9mm on right.
Ive googled it and known it can rectify itself and I have a scan booked in for 4 weeks time... just wondering if anyone's had any experience of this?

Yes! I’m currently 26 weeks and on my 20 weeks scan they said my girl had a dilated renal on right side 8mm but left was fine 🤞🏻 I was worried so I spoke to a consultant after phoning the midwife afterwards as I didn’t understand fully what it meant. The consultant reassured that’s there’s plenty of time for this to become normal and that I will have another scan at 32 weeks to check this.
I think it’s common but I haven’t seen anyone else post about this on here so not sure. It’s has made my anxiety worse but guess you can’t do anything untill baby is here.
I wouldn’t worry if you can most of the time they sort themselves out x

I have this and also had it with my first baby after 3 scans turned out they weren’t actually measuring the correct thing and one his kidneys was in his pelvis. He is a healthy little boy now. Try not worry usually rectifies itself x
