I just found out I’m pregnant and want to make sure I stay active during pregnancy. I love my daily workouts of strength training, Pilates and running. I’m looking to sign up for a prenatal program to do workouts at home and came across a lot of apps like Moves and Sweat.
Any suggestion to keep a good “hard ish” workout going throughout pregnancy?

I am a runner and rock climber. I continued to run up until 6 months. In my first trimester, I still ran 3 to 4 times a week. I was still doing long runs of 6 to 8 miles. As I got bigger, it got harder. My runs got shorter until my last run of 1 mile. As my runs got shorter, I started picking up more body weight exercises and walked more. I had to be more patient with myself because my lung capacity decreased. Babies take up a ton of space.
What I wish I knew was that as soon as my baby was born, all my athletic abilities would come back. I ran a 5k 8 weeks after and 5 miles 10 weeks after he was born. I started rock climbing again at 4 months and was way better than before.
If your doctor is ok with it, keep doing your current fitness routine until you need to tweak your approach. Also, I wish I had done more strength training. I hope this helps.
