Hi all, just dreading the start of potty training. Some silly questions but want to know 1) for those sending your child to nursery, what is your morning and coming back home routine for potty training? My LO normally does a poo first thing in the morning before I even pick him up from the cot. 2) do you train them to use toilet paper for pee and poos? 3) what do you do when you're out and about? We have got a foldable seat cover but am wondering if that's enough? E.g. do we need a portable potty or bags or special wipes etc?

Potty first thing in the morning and when we come back from nursery. Also each time we leave house. He will slowly shift the morning poo, but until then, keep night nappy on 🙃
Toilet paper for pee from the start, poop she had a few attempts, but ended up dirty herself, will revisit later.
We have my pottette, you need some kind of travel potty, takes them a while to learn to hold it, usually if they need to go, it means now. With ours it has open bottom, so we use liners or of in the park, we make game of it and pee in the grass

Im a sahm with my little. We have a portable potty in the car as well as a urinal. Starting out you'll want them to try on the potty before you leave, when you get there, when you leave, and when you get home. My son prefers wipes so we just continued with that and use toilet paper when out at public toilets. Work on day training first and then night training will follow naturally

No, she's been going to toilet for poo after wake up and before bath from 7m... We still had a few poo accidents since we started potty training beginning of July, but that's gonna happen to everyone. She now asks for poops more consistently than pee (still have some accidents)
We got reusable potty training pants on Amazon, they catch a bit more and nursery prefers them too,a bit less mess when accidents happen
