I’m over a year PP now and haven’t really worked out much at all (and couldn’t work out during my pregnancy as my placenta was low). I want to slowly get back into working out and want to try reformer Pilates (I used to do it years ago but it has been a while!). I have a small gap (about 2 fingers) between my abs and the doctors haven’t said I need to avoid any particular exercises etc. Is it ok to do reformer Pilates with DR?

Hey lovely! 💕
That’s amazing you’re ready to get moving again! Reformer Pilates can actually be really beneficial postpartum — it helps with posture, core control, and reconnecting your deep abs (just avoid any movements that cause coning or doming through your tummy).
I’m a pre & postnatal personal trainer — however my speciality is more strength training, but it pairs perfectly with Pilates to rebuild your core, glutes, and overall strength 💪🏼

I think it’s honestly the best thing I’ve done for myself post partum. Just do be careful and modify
