I have a Bartholin cyst that's about 2 cm in size. It doesn't cause me any pain or issues, but I find it visually unappealing and considered having it removed. I've been offered a surgery date, but I'm feeling a bit anxious. I've heard stories about cysts coming back, becoming painful, or getting infected.
Given that my cyst isn’t causing any problems right now, should I consider leaving it alone, or is it better to address it proactively to avoid potential issues in the future?

I would leave it alone personally. They're incredibly painful when they get infected. It may resolve on it's own without any intervention

Id be more tempted to have thw surgery personally. A cyst of that size needs removing properly as you may find even if it seems to have gone away it has left a cavity that can refill
