Guys, I need more information. Can anyone point me in the right direction for advice?
My consultant is insistent that we absolutely cannot go overdue with an ICSI baby because there's a "high risk" of placenta failure past 40 weeks. Apparently not so much with straightforward IVF babies but ICSI in particular.
Does anyone know anything about this? I'm trying for a VBAC this time after a really traumatic labour and emergency c section with my first and am hoping to go into spontaneous labour before 40 weeks but as we all know, babies have their own ideas! And my consultant wants to book a c section the day before my due date, which I would prefer over an induction but wondering is it safe to leave it a few more weeks or not?

I have never heard that icsi babies are any different to ivf...I had my icsi baby and they just treated like normal ivf, not really sure why that would make a difference?

Hopefully someone can shine a light on it for you x

Iāve never heard of this. I know different areas have different rules but where I live both of my pregnancies were treated no different to people who conceive without ivf.
I have a 2 year old and 14 week old both ICSI babies. My first I gave birth at 41+5 and my 2nd at 39+1 x
