Last was a nip and twister and the one before that was a nibbler so I feel your pain.
Immediately put her aside and walk away. You’ll have to do it maybe 3-5 times but they catch on pretty quickly. Unless they’re a sleepy nipper (for soothing themselves.) then you gotta try swap out for a blanket or finger.

I'm following to see if anyone has good advice. I stopped breastfeeding my first child after 13 months because I couldn't stand the biting any longer. My nipples looked like they went through a meat grinder.

My baby is the same, she will have weeks where she bites and then like a month or two with no bitting.. I think is triggering the teething phase. The lactation consultant said that you should act super dramatic, placing your baby in a safe space and leaving the room. And honestly I’ve done it and it hasn’t work a bit. The other advice was to flicker in the cheek… it didn’t work either. Hope it works with you. If so please let me know that at least it worked for a Mom.

My daughter does the same, I always say ā€œow! No thank you. That hurts mommyā€ and I hold her hand instead and say ā€œgentle touchesā€ and give her kisses to reinforce the gentle behavior, she’s gotten a lot better at not doing it, now she just rubs my boobs 🤣

My baby does the same too. She doesn’t bite on purpose but has been doing it more. I usually say ow that hurts mommy and then she’ll get upset. I take a break and wait for her to calm down. She always has a wandering hand when she nurses. She’ll pinch, poke, grab, and all that. I’ll have marks all over me. Haven’t figured out how to handle it yet😭

If you want to quit just quit girll, my son for some reason has to bite me almost everytime he latches and then pinches me on my boobs or my arms and it drives me nuts my first she was an angel, of course for a little she’s do the bite and pull thing but grew out of it and I breastfed her two months shy of two years but my son he’s cut off at a year which is in like two weeks idc lol he’ll live, when I did it with my daughter I was already planning to stop but she got a stomach bug and she threw up every time she’d breastfeed so I had to stop for a few days of course she was trippen for a couple nights and then after she acted as if she never new she was breastfed haha

When did you circumcise your baby?
If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.
opinions about how not necessary it is will not be appropriate for this post. Thank you in advance. 🩵

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

When does it get better?

I was crying on the phone with the perinatal mental health team today and the lovely lady, bless her, kept assuring me that it gets better. I kept telling her I hope so because people have been saying that since having my LO and it just feels like it keeps getting worse. She assured me it gets better....

Night time routine

Heya, my 3 week old daughter is currently exclusively breastfed and I’m not pumping. Can anyone recommend the best way to share the load with my partner? At the moment I’m doing all the feeds/burbs/settling and my partner is sleeping through which obviously isn’t sustainable, I’m trying to work out the best way to get him involved. Any advice very much appreciated!
