My husband has been an alcoholic since I met him. He’s never physically harmed me or our kids, just gets hammered and drinks at inappropriate times to cope and will get clumsy or fall asleep. He did lie about it a bunch and we now have a routine of him taking a breathalyzer whenever I ask him to.
He lost his job two months ago and has been struggling to find one. I know relapses are going to happen but he keeps lying about it to me even when I pull the breathalyzer.
He’s not a bad dad, I have two stepdaughters that I am the only stable adult in their life and our bio kids don’t understand so I feel very stuck and trapped in this space. Am I alone in this?

I’ve not been in this same situation because we have an infant, but my husband used to binge drink and has been sober for over 3 years now. Please reach out if you need support.
My daughter started Reception this September, and it seems like they watch one or two cartoons every day. One is usually *Numberblocks*, but the other changes—sometimes it’s *Bluey*, sometimes *Zog*...I’m not too happy about this, but I don’t know if it’s common for schools to use cartoons for various reasons. I wouldn’t want to be the only mom complaining 😅

Hey, I’m just posting because I’ve got horrendous mum guilt. I have a 3 year old and now a 3 month old. Prior to having my baby, I was out with 3 year old all the time, always busy. That’s obviously not been the case since having baby. We still do go out but I feel like it isn’t as often. Am I just being harsh on myself? I just find it so overwhelming at the minute but don’t want my toddler to feel like the bar has dropped!

Why does my 3 year olds tongue look like this? It’s always looked like it on and off and has never caused any issues so I haven’t brought it up to any health professionals but I’m just wondering what it is and whether I should be worried about it?

Hi everyone! My little boy is 8 and half months old, we have been trying to wean him since 6 months but he is still not that interested, he doesn’t like purées as he won’t open his mouth for a spoon, and if I give him the spoon he uses his other hand to scrap the food off. We are mainly doing BLW which he will happily put the food in his mouth, but if he gets any in his mouth, he will gag and spit it out. Anyone having anything similar? He is still having breastmilk as I know their nutrition all still comes from their milk until they are 1, I’m just worried he is taking a long time to grasp the concept of swallowing food

My partner changed his mobile phone number yesterday, which he told me about in the morning. He still has not given me his new number. Today whilst at the shops he refused to come in but after 20min of us shopping instead of sending or calling me to find out where we were, he came looking for us. Is this odd behaviour or what??

Hi mums, is anybody else’s litre one extremely bad at getting their nappy and / or clothes changed? My little boy screams and protests every time! It’s so hard. I literally dread doing his nappy now especially if it’s a poo because he starts rolling around and crawling away and there’s been a few occasions where he’s spread poo around on me and the floor! I don’t get why it’s so bad, I’m always so gentle and try and distract him etc with singing, games, toys, anything! I warm the water to wipe him with too so it’s not that it’s cold wipes or anything. I got him pull ups to make it a bit easier as I found it impossible to get the other nappies on him but even with them it’s a mission!! I just don’t know what to do to make it easier or if I just need to ride it out? 🫣🤣
