Morning sickness

Hi girls, pregnant with my second, no one knows and I’m really struggling with the nausea. With my first it was if I was hungry so I’d snack on salted snacks every two hours now it’s all day every day, no sick just constant nausea reaching/ dry heaving. I’ve got some ginger and honey tea, is there anything else I can try? I know this sounds dramatic but I’m really struggling with working running a household and looking after a toddler if I bend down to pick her up i just start reaching 😭 she just keeps saying it’s okay mam 😭 she doesn’t know I’m pregnant yet as we aren’t telling her until after the scan Tia

Bananas really helped me and just the cup fruits for a while. Also drinking lots of smoothies. But make sure you’re on a good prenatal and as long as you’re trying you should be ok 💝

Marmite really helped me , marmite on toast, I had horrendous morning sickness from 10 weeks all the way to 25 weeks ! Plus sucking mint imperials used to also x

I was like this, exactly this time last year and it was awful as my birthday and Christmas round the corner and nobody knew. I was straight on the phone to doctors and requested cyclizine which was a life saver for work, looking after a 3 year old and the all important Christmas dinner.

Go to the GP/ call the Gp and get some meds. They shouldn’t have any issue giving you some

I struggled really bad in my pregnancy and was prescribed cyclizine which didn’t work in the day for me but I found taking it in the night when you wake for the toilet helped for the morning part ever so slightly just enough to help me be able to get ready for the day and lived off really crunchy red grapes and orange juice as I found they weren’t too bad coming up if they needed too, also sparkling water as I found it made me burp which helped with feeling nauseous and normal water made me feel so sick

I understand 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️ , I was so miserable my first trimester with a toddler one step at a time momma and listen to your body . Don’t put unrealistic expectations on yourself and don’t force routine. ;9 what your body feels like it needs

I've heard b6 and unisom help a lot taken the night before. I had to have zophran

b6 and unisom (especially unisom) has helped me but it takes a few days to start working so you have to try to keep with it through the nausea! Beyond that, zofran has been my key to existing!

I would second bubbly drinks — for some reason being able to burp really does relieve the nausea feeling (especially when it feels like you’d rather just vomit to make it go away).

I also found that eating a good dinner with protein really does help the next day, but honestly resent giving that feedback because it genuinely is impossible to do when you feel so sick.

hang in there, can attest that it’s miserable & did also cry to my husband for an hour this morning about it but hopefully it settles soon for all of us! 🫶🏼

I carried a packet of rich tea or ginger biscuits with me wherever I went!

Reduced Movements

Has anyone else gone in for monitoring for reduced movements and as soon as you arrive at triage the baby starts moving and the CTG is normal? It makes me feel like I am over reacting.

2nd pregnancy after c section

I’m not planning on getting pregnant anytime soon but in the future possibly. I just wanted to know how is pregnancy after c section like my fear is having to go through another emergency operation or even putting strain on my incision during pregnancy

Newborn stage

Is anyone tired of doing the same thing everyday and being on a 2-3 hour schedule? It’s the same everyday and I feel like I’m losing my mind. It’s making me depressed even if I get out once a day. When does it get better? I feel like I’m just waiting for the next stage where it’s not just sitting around all day.

Pregnancy after c section

What time scale did everyone get pregnant again after a c section?
I know the doc said they recommend eating at least a year to 18 months but it took 4 years to get pregnant the first time after being told we could not conceive naturally so not wanting to stop it happening knowing it could take a very long time again but also worried.

Labour

Think im a bit confused really, i went into traige as was having contractions eveey 3-5mins. Since being here im now having them every 2-3mins which was confirmed with the machine and i think the toco was 90-100 and they feel painful and my lower back is in loads of pain but apparently im only just over 2cm dilated maybe, she has said i can stay here for a bit longer to see if things progress as had a previous quick birth as well but i dont understand why the pains are coming this quick if im only 2cm dilated and feel a bit deflated from it also.

I had a sweep this morning also.

Hospital bag (UK)

What did everyone pack for their section? I'm staying in for 3 days due to mental health, not really sure what I'll need to bring, feeling very nervous. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
