I’m 14 weeks and have already outgrown my bras! When is the best time to be fitted for maternity bras?
Also any recommendations for large bust would be much appreciated! Thank you ☺️

I get your pain! I went up 4 cup sizes (granted I was a flat chest A cup) and now DD, but I had the Boux Avenue maternity bras. Genuinely super comfy, a tad overpriced IMO but also some of the cutest maternity bras you’ll find. I still wear them now even though I no longer BF x

I went to m&s when I was about 18wks. I was fitted will a much larger size full cup but could adjust to fit now and then loosen as I get bigger. There probably is no right time for fitting.. depends on how your body changes

I booked a bra fitting appointment with M&S just shy of being 12/13 weeks pregnant. They were so helpful and I ended up buying the most comfiest maternity bras ever from there 😊. There is no right time to go for a fitting, when your normal bras get uncomfortable to wear that would be the best time to get measured etc x

I’ll be honest I never got fitted. I was advised to by some coworkers but I just bought some from tiktok shop and they have been amazing since I got them about 20 weeks came in a pack of 5 and only cost about £16. They are supportive, but seamless type material, and the straps can be unclipped on the front for breastfeeding, and have a little strap in the bra to hold a pump if you want it. I only waited so long as I was prioritising other things

I was a 34F before and a sports bra wasn’t cutting it when I couldn’t fit in my bras anymore I have found that the John Lewis maternity ones are really great.

Bra fitting specialist here- it’s so important to have a correct fitting bra the whole way through. I started as a 32E to 34FF and then used them all as I got smaller post birth. I really recommend a supportive bra that’s properly fitted (M&S, John Lewis, Bravisimo etc) it’s a really key investment! I really liked the Chantelle Merci bra also for feeding post birth xx

Omg I found the most amazing bra on Amazon!, they are so comfy and so supportive and don’t have underwire they do sizes from small to xxl. So comfy I’ll send the link

I also went to m&s for a fitting. I didn’t realise I had gone up 3 cup sizes. They also recommend a non wired bra which I hadn’t realised until then either. I was about 20 weeks when I had a fitting

I just wing it based on feel. If its cutting me then I go back for a fitting. I had my first bra fitting at 12 weeks at M&S, then at 22 weeks I've gone back again and she's fitted me with the best bra! And said it should last me till 4 weeks before baby comes to go back for nursing bras. I got this current one yesterday along with extenders. Definitely just play it by feel and comfort but I like getting fitted at M&S because I am busty anyway! So just takes the guess work out and they are brilliant. The bras are so comfy! But 100% just get fitted, comfort and right fit is so important ☺️

I got the M&S nursing bras instead, I really rate them. Really comfortable and also can be used once the baby is here as they unclip to nurse ☺️

By 14 weeks I had already had 2 fittings as they wouldn't stop growing! I am in the same bras now (26 weeks) but the back band has gone up massively so I bought those bra extenders so that I didn't have to buy née bras as my ribs expanded!

Thanks so much everyone! I’ll go get fitted asap ☺️

I have found the ones from Boux avenue to be really comfy :)

Hey,
I’m 12 weeks and already swapped for yoga/gym bras from Amazon. I sleep with it cause my boobs car so big and painful 😬

I don’t think there is a right time 🥲 they change constantly! I got fitted after birth cos I couldn’t even squeeze and the bra size changed again 2 weeks after that! Probably one of the most annoying parts hahah

The best online store I’ve found for large bust sizes is Understance. They’re currently having a huge sale, and their bras, which are usually $68, are now only $15 to $10 online. They carry sizes up to an J cup and a 44 band, I believe.
