“Late bloomer” baby..What’s it mean? What’s it look like?

Anyone have a “late bloomer” baby? The doc said our first baby, now 6 months, might be one so I’m wondering what that means and how other mom’s experiences were after hearing something similar from a doc? Anyone have some insight on taking steps to rule things out or considerations with growth hormone tests and/or other factors impacting growth? Our lil guy is impressively climbing up the charts at a high rate with all measurements (length, weight, etc.). He came out small.. water broke at 38 weeks, short labor, easy delivery and no complications but did technically have “low birth weight”. His length incline overtime is tracking normally and consistently but he’s still so short for his age, barely on the percentile chart. Weight and everything else has gone from barely on the charts, to pushing up toward 50th percentile. If he doesn’t continue on this incline with height/length specifically, we were told a blood test to check his growth hormone should be done. My husband is 5’9 and I’m 5 ft (so both on the petite side). Husband reached his full height after high school, in more dramatic spurts. I had dramatic growth spurts too up until 18ish and puberty hit us both wayyy later compared to our peers..not sure if any of this matters and don’t have our own baby growth charts to compare. Anyways…if you have any comments or info to share on this, pls do!

It's odd that a doctor would use that term especially with a child so young, and especially when they are moving up percentiles so quickly. Feel free to change doctors or get a second opinion. Your baby sounds like he is actively blooming and you have nothing to worry about.

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Reduced Movements

Has anyone else gone in for monitoring for reduced movements and as soon as you arrive at triage the baby starts moving and the CTG is normal? It makes me feel like I am over reacting.

Baby Movements

Hello, I’m a FTM currently 18W5D pregnant. I’ve been getting this tugging feeling in my stomach after I eat, it’s uncomfortable but not painful. I don’t know whether that’s the baby moving or round ligaments pain.

I’ve also been getting round ligament pain which is either a sharp stabbing pain or a stretching sensation. These happens whether or not I’ve eaten while the tugging feeling is only after I’ve eaten.

So, could the tugging feeling be the baby or something else.
