Anyone know why ultrasound clinics in Ontario are hesitant to book multiple dating ultrasounds ? My family doctor clearly wants me to do one at 6 weeks and another at 9 weeks due to my history of miscarriages so I dont understand why the ultrasound clinics won't book me for a second dating ultrasound...

I don’t know what a “dating ultrasound” is.
If it’s to determine gestational duration and therefore due date, then I totally get it, because it has nothing to do with health - either for you or the baby.
If there is a medical reason, then it’s odd that there would be resistance.
If it’s medically justified, it’s covered by OHIP.

I had multiple early ultrasounds with both of mine. Because I had a history of 3 miscarriages between 6-12 weeks.
If your doctor is ordering it, then the clinic should be carrying it out.. Period. They need to be at least a week apart, 2-3 would be better, unless the first one suspects a miscarriage, then they'll send you less than a week apart to look for any evidence of growth.
At least that's been my experience. 🤷♀️
