Have you tried to extend her nap? My baby used to wake up after 35 mins but I was able to nurse her back to sleep. Now she connects cycles sometimes and can sleep up to 1 hour 20 mins, she is 10 months

My 7 month old was like that but I started waiting longer to put him down for his morning nap to make sure he was really tired and now he’ll normally sleep for an hour and a half

It's developmental. But you can help her out by giving her a minute or two, when she starts to stir, to settle again - Scandinavian parents call this I magen ("ice in the stomach"), and it means resisting the urge to react right away the second you hear baby stir. Giving her a few moments will allow her to figure out how to go back to sleep on her own after 'waking' from a cycle - and if she needs help, she'll let you know.

I bet she sleeps through the night though! That's how my 7 m o is :)

My daughter first nap of the day is always 30 mins

How long is her wake window? I've just started pushing the first one to 2.5 hrs and she's finally sleeping 2 hrs in the morning ! But for a long time she was only doing 30 mins. I would try to save it by nursing back to sleep and contacting napping the rest.

Would it bother you? Hubby never finishes.

So my husband doesn't finish. Not for birth control but he just doesn't finish, he says he can go a really long time before actually finishing. He can finish as we have a child together.

It's never bothered me enough to cause serious problems in our relationship. Sometimes I wonder if I'm good enough in bed? He says he just gets tired. I've only ever been with two guys, my ex and hubby and my ex never had an issue with it. Hubby says he likes it and we have a healthy sex life as in we have sex regularly.

Just wondered if it would bother you or am I overthinking it?

4.5 week old constantly crying

Does anyone else’s baby just seem to do nothing but cry?!! I’m exclusively BF my little one and baby did used to cry but not like this! Over the last week or so baby has stopped falling asleep at the breast and is wide awake after feeds - it looks something like - wake up crying, feed (can be fussy pulling on and off breast and needing to be put back on as still showing hunger cues, either scream straight after and be awake but somewhat content for ten mins, then scream again, baby will eventually fall asleep but for varying durations of time (5mins to 1.5hrs)

Any solidarity or words of wisdom??!! I feel numb and guilty for not enjoying this part of my baby’s life💔

No kissing

Those of you who didn't let anyone kiss your babies, when did you start to let them?

I've had a no kissing rule since my LG was born, which was fine at the start but there have been a few incidents lately where her grandparents have kissed her where we have had to say something. One of these incidents she ended up in hospital with bronchiolitis and the other grandparent suffers from cold sores so I'm uncomfortable with her ever kissing my LG if I'm honest.

I just want to protect her but my partner thinks there needs to be a cut off point where we say it's ok.

Anyone know when the newborn insert can be removed from this seat? The booklet is absolutely useless.

Seat previously used for my son but he was over one when it was purchased so newborn insert was never used.

Can’t hold a conversation with my 2.5 year old

He only started really speaking a few months ago and while I know he knows a lot of things, follows instructions so well, I still can’t have a conversation with him.

At most I’ll get a couple words stung together and almost always they are just words I have said and he is repeating them back.

I try to ask him about his day or what we just did and he’ll just repeat it back. He even does it with strangers when they have said hi guys, he’ll repeat it back to them or say hi followed his own name and he’ll do this with us too.

I really thought once he started speaking that we can finally talk, but it’s just him repeating and not really responding
