My girl's 6.5months and has been waking up 3 times a night for a feed since she was a newborn, usually about 11pm, 2am and 5am. (im not even counting the other 100times she sometimes wakes up lol). Because she eats so much during the night it really affects her morning appetite. Shes gone without milk till lunchtime sometimes.
I've reduced the 2am amount and been trying to wean off the 5am feed, which is clearly a habit wake, cause shes okay with having only 20-30ml. She won't go back down without that 30ml though.
Has anyone got any advise on how I can help her brake that habit?

Hey
Dealing with the same issue with my almost 7 mo. Its basically theier sleep cycle nd sleep association with feeding. When their sleep cycle ends they struggle to put themself to sleep nd ter comes the need to be fed to go back to sleep. Then they feed throughout the night which means getting the needed calories with the night feed.
I tried to put her back to sleep without feeding but it was putting pressure on me. Now i try to put her to sleep by walking or bouncing for few mins, feed her for few mins then put her down - stop feeding her when she falls asleep. Now her day feeds have increased. Her sleep is still an issue but guessing its the sleep regression phase

My son was doing the same. He was waking up 3 hours after he went to sleep every night.
I started leaving him for 10 mins to self settle and if he don’t I’d send my husband in to settle him without boob.
The next night by a miracle he slept 7-3am (he’s usually been every 2hours in the night) so I was in shock sadly he’s got ill. So I don’t know if that’s a regular thing, but I feel breaking the habit and going cold turkey is what helped.
