Homebirth

Just wondering if any of you mamas have done a home birth!? I am currently expecting baby #5 after having a miscarriage over the Summer. My first three babies were born in hospital, my fourth I did at home and I am planning to do it again! I don't have a question, just kind of wanting to have a discussion about experiences one way or another... And if anyone has any questions about home births those of us who have experienced one can maybe provide some insight. 🩷

I had a home birth with my 2nd and planning to have another with my 3rd. It was totally chilled and magical. I had an amazing team and would recommend to anyone 🤎

I had two home births. Crawling straight into your own bed after delivering baby was the best feeling! For my second baby big sister was in the next room and slept through the whole thing.

I home birthed my two babies. It was an incredibly special and spiritually aligned experience that I recommend to all women with low risk pregnancies. It’s only in the west that hospital birth is normalized. In most of the world, you only go there for an emergency. Otherwise, home it is! There’s nothing like being in your own bed, eating your home cooked food, and not having to leave or cart new baby around for the foreseeable future.

If you’re thinking about it, go for it. You’ve done the hospital thing. Your body is a wise birther. Let yourself be at home this time!!! My mama friend with four was kicking herself for not just having her last at home. She struggled so hard to get to the hospital in time and it was waaaay more stressful for her and it didn’t have to be.

Had a homebirth in Jan 2025. My 2nd son was delivered in 1.5 hours, feet first and accidentally unassisted as my midwife didn’t make it in time! Just my husband and I! Best experience ever. My 3rd will be a
home birth anyday now!

These all sound like beautiful stories but i have read some home births that have gone horribly wrong. Im curious, this is definitely not the norm where im from and reminds me of that British show midwives. How did the planning for this go? Where do u find midwives/ doulas that would do this? Is this location thing?

What did you have at home that made you feel super comfy at home while giving birth?

I want to do a home birth or go to a birthing center for the 3rd one.

Vagina!

Sorry to be graphic but I’m 7 weeks PP and for the first time I’ve looked down there with a mirror and I’m in shock!

It looks so different and I can practically see the inside of my vagina, has anyone has a similar experience?

Me and my partner are going to have sex tomorrow for the first time and now I’m worried.

Pain at 18 weeks

Hey! I’m 18 weeks and 3 days pregnant, I’ve been feeling a pressure like pain, especially when I lay on my side and just makes me worried. Does anyone else have this? I have my 20 week scan on the 28th of this month so not long to make sure everything is okay.

Emergency C Section Recovery

Had an emergency c section a week ago today which was quite bad as I was 9.5cm dilated and ended up with other complications.

I thought I would be a bit more mobile by now but still feeling so sore especially on one side of my scar. Guess just wanted to understand anyone else’s experiences and recovery process and if there is anything I can do to reduce the scar it looks big and raised at the moment!!
