My baby is 13 months

Does anyone else worry about their babies milestones I mean I shouldn’t compare but we do! My baby is 13 months and he doesn’t say mum or dad yet and cannot clap his hands but he’s crawling, pulling himself up and has 13 teeth! He will do it when he’s ready right?🤔

He'll definitely do it when he's ready and then it can go very fast once they start learning new, they're on a roll! Teething can be tough (it is, here!) and they can't do it all. Don't worry, I'm sure he'll do all that very soon! x

I think it depends on their personality too! My little boy is very much an observer and when we go somewhere he’ll sit and watch what’s going on and suss things out for a bit before joining in!

I think it reflects on their milestones too, he’s very chilled so will do things in his own time. He’s 13 months but also doesn’t walk. We’ve tried using his walker etc but he’ll shake his head to say no and sit down! So we’re just letting him lead and trying to fully believe he’ll do it when he’s ready! 🙈

I work in a primary school and I wouldn’t be able to tell you who crawled, walked first, who was breast fed or formula fed! Or any other comparisons. He’ll get there and you won’t give it a second thought. Completely natural to worry and question things though! 🫶🏼 x

Thank you all. Yes he will do it in his own time for sure. Plus he’s very observant when we go out and nosy! Just enjoying it

They’re babies not robots. Enjoy the things they can do now and don’t worry about what they’re not doing or you’ll blink and miss it x

Nursery

Hey mummies and daddies, has anybody got experience with baby not getting used to nursery? My daughter started at 12 months (a month ago) and still has a meltdown every time we drop her off. How long until it settles? I worry that she’s just not happy there :(

Night shifts

How are we doing night shifts with our partners?

My partner is back at work so I only wake him up for nappy changes (my back still kills me after c-section). I breastfeed and our little dude eats every 2-3 hours and then takes a while to settle again. I know if I passed him to my partner, it would just be another thing to wake baby up even more. And I feel bad because he’s back at work.
So I spend most of the night awake.
3 weeks PP, so my milk supply is still calibrating and bottles aren’t an option until 5 weeks or so.
I also really struggle with day time sleeping and with going to bed early, so the idea of him taking baby 7pm-1am and me doing 1am-7am would also cost me sleep.

I’m so tired, I’m absolutely losing it 😭

6 weeks sleeping short

Is 2-3h sleep still normal for 6 weeks old? I thought they'd longer stretches by now

Pacifier

Any tips for getting toddler off pacifier? She doesn’t use it as much as she used to but it seems like when she’s sleepy or trying to self soothe she wants it but I’m trying to get her off of it completely she’s almost 2 and I don’t want it to effect her teeth or anything

1st night home

Gave birth 3 days ago, very traumatic. Lost a lot of blood, didn’t get induced as planned.

Girl is very sensitive to startle reflux, we have had 1.24 hours sleep last night as she won’t settle in her next to me crib.

We have tried swaddling which didn’t work and a grow bag. She is doing it every 30 seconds and scares herself. Bottled fed as BF for the first 2 days after birth but I cannot continue. Does anyone have any solutions?
