My son is 3.5 and between....40 and 50Ibs? Lol.
He still likes being close and occasionally being carried. I love giving him piggy back rides but he never holds on and it stresses me out. I am wondering if anyone knows of a carrier that is hands free (ideally not one of those 400ft of fabric body wraps) that I can put him in?
Im a single mom so its something I need to kind of being able to manage on my own. Mostly just used when we go out to run errands or on walks or something.
Thanks!

We have a Tula baby explore carrier. I bought it when my son was a baby so covers a big age range. Since having our second, my son has requested being carried so I have occasionally worn him on my back with it and it works well. He is nearly 4 and definitely big for his age

We also use Tula Explore or Izmi toddler carrier. I find the Tula more comfortable but it’s more bulky, so we switch one we are using depending on how much other stuff we will be carrying!
At 3.5 they can definitely get into the right position and listen to instructions, so you will be fine with experimenting.
Just be warned, that they do tend to feel so cosy that they may nap! It’s a bit like a car seat nap haha - so make sure you can keep them awake if it’s after a certain time 😅

People have mentioned tula explore but that's usually outgrown by 18 months - 2 years so wouldn't be suitable here.
It needs to reach mid thigh or armpit level for a safe carry so I'd definitely look into something that would give more longevity.

Tula toddler carrier would definitely do the job - my son loved it and used it until he was 5.5 occasionally. Very comfy for you and little one and easy to wait.
FTM to a one month old and we want to travel to visit family so they can meet the baby. The drive is only 4 hours away but online keeps saying to take breaks etc because its dangerous to have the baby in a car seat for more than 2 hours at a time. Anyone been thru something similar? And what did you do?

Hi all, my baby is almost 6 weeks and in the past few days have been a real struggle as I breastfeed him, he temporarily falls asleep on me than suddenly wake up and cries non stop. No hunger or cold/warm temp or gassiness involved I believe - I tried also putting them in any position (on me as well), but nothing really works.
Quite sleep deprived therefore - both of us.
Anyone having something similar at month 2? How did you deal with it?
Any suggestion is welcome 🫶🏻

So my recently turned 10 month old has just started throwing his head back and making his body rigid when he’s not happy about something - like being put in his play pen, being taken for a nappy change/ nap etc. I’m worried of him doing it and hitting his head hard or worse being dropped (he is very big and heavy) - there has been a few near misses already.
He has also bitten me a few times in the last month (he’s got opposing teeth so really hurts) - luckily that seems to be lessening.
Just wondering if others are/ did have similar experience with their LB? Is it normal to start tantrum type behaviour at this age? And if so how do you react to it?

If your toddler 2 years wakes up at night and you know it’s a regression and they’re not crying just making whining noises and other sounds would you go into his/her room or just wait for them to fall asleep again even if it takes up to an hour?

I just needed to rant and get this out.
I’m 5 months postpartum on the 21st and I have never felt so uncomfortable in my own skin. I look in the mirror and barely recognise myself.
I’ve tried different things, I’ve changed my hair, try doing my makeup, bought new clothes and it all seems to make me feel worse.
And the weird thing is, it’s not my c section scar or my stretch marks that are actually bothering me, I can admire they gave me my beautiful son. It’s literally EVERYTHING else about myself I just hate looking at myself in the mirror!
I don’t think it helps that I feel so lonely, I don’t feel like many people understand what I went through with my labour and what I’m going through MH wise now and just think I’m being ignorant but I physically don’t have the mental capacity to message people everyday and be in constant conversation but yet I crave human interaction and friends.
Does everyone feel this way at first and when does it go away?

Has anyone made a switch overnight rather than a gradual change? If so how did your baby react. My baby girl is 3 months and I’m planning to switch. She’s exclusively bottle fed.
