Do men deserve EQUAL credit as women when it comes to pregnancy (pre to post)?

OBVI since they do so much more by providing for the family through labor-intensive work. We’re just helping them carry the baby!

I think they are two different lanes. Do men deserve credit for what they do if they do it…. Absolutely. Having a supportive man who assumes responsibility of making sure u are ok, lisrening to you vent, holding down home if you can not work or do much, being emotional support, being there during pregnancy and taking the reins if need be….. is absolutely a game changer qnd deserves recognition. But …. Its still not carrying or birthing a baby…. and physically dealing with the changes u go through afterward. A man can literally say… i need a break…. A women when pregnant and in birth… cant.

Absolutely not. Best 5 sec of they life then they continue with bare minimum work and expect woman to be homemakers and career women.

Next joke, did a man post this 🤣

The sperm cannot even reach the egg without the woman’s body moving it along so for sure no

No lol he didn’t get cut open to have this baby nor did he feel these contractions 😂 he didn’t pump and BF and he isnt the one who dealt with everything physically or hormonally.
I work part time and contribute financially so yeah. No he doesn’t.

Absofuckinglutely not! 😂 1. "Just helping them carry the baby" is a fuck tonne of work and takes so much out of a woman. 2. I also worked to provide for my family until a week before my due date and then still my maternity pay helps support our family. 3. Men don't nearly die having a child .... 4. Men don't have their entire hormonal balances thrown completely outta whack for YEARS. 5. Men don't have to get cut open or have the sexual organs (often) ripped apart to bring the child into this world.... Mannnnn I could go on and on but I'd be here all night

I think they deserve credit for their support, but not anything else… I also cannot stand the ‘we’re pregnant’ thing. No, we’re having a baby but I’m the one that’s pregnant thanks 🫠

What they actual fuck? I provide lots to my family. To start with I provided them life. Then I provided them nourishment from my body. I could go on but you get the point.

And I’m a SAHM. My husband works from home and has a wayyy easier day to day than I do with the kids. He would 1000% agree with that statement.

So no.

Credit for what exactly? Getting their weiner wet?

Did a man seriously write this post?

Why should they get credit for a 5 second job when I’ve carried a baby for 9 months and birthed it but before all this I’ve dealt with sleepless nights (still do), server morning sickness, pains and aches in my body, headaches, mood swings, swollen feet, pelvic girdle pain plus many more as well as then dealing with postpartum and a postpartum infection all whilst looking after a newborn 24/7 and becoming the default parent🤔

I think you should both be congratulated but the women does the heavy lifting in pregnancy, child birth, and beyond. I think as a wife it is nice to thank and acknowledge the help your husband give you during this time. I do get annoyed when people praise him for the little bit he does to help with the baby. I’ve heard a lot of “back in the day the men didn’t help at all he’s doing so amazing”.

Avatar

Thank you for your participation, moms ❤️ There’s a pregnant FTM in a mom discord who has this mindset so I just wanted to showcase the absurdity. “Why should women get all the credit when it comes to pregnancy when men helped start it? Can’t have a baby without SPERM” Stfu 🖕🏻😂 Go suck your man’s dick for doing the bare minimum.

Waking baby for feeds (EBF)

Hello, my baby is 4 weeks old and EBF.

I woke up last night and realised baby was still asleep after 4 hours. Should I be waking him to feed/nappy change, or do I count my blessings and wait for him to wake me up when he’s ready?

He’s way past his birth weight now, so not concerned about that, but obviously he still has a tiny tummy and I was concerned he was likely sleeping in a soiled nappy.

I very much doubt this will be a regular occurrence but would like to know what to do for next time. Last night we chose to wake him up 🤔

Moving off formula at 12 months

Can anyone offer advice of how to move from formula to cows milk at 12 months please?
Do you have to wean them over to the cows milk? If so, when, as the guidance is only formula until 12 months and cows milk only in food until that point.
Or do you just give cows milk one day and never give formula again?
Finding it a bit of a mine field! What if she won’t drink the cows milk!

Took baby out

Took my baby out in a sling today and we went for a walk to the shop. He slept through wind, noisy cars, horns beeping and a busy shop but at home if my knee clicks or something he wakes immediately?! 🤣

Naps not making sense?

Am I being really silly? There was a post a few days ago where people were saying their 5 month olds nap for 30-45 mins but are having 3-4 naps a day.
So are you following wake windows? What time are your LO’s waking up? What time do they go to bed? I imagine if that’s the case, they either wake up late or go to bed early?

I stress about my LO having long naps because that way he’ll have 3 naps a day, and we’ll be able to reach his bedtime of 7:30pm with 3 naps.
