Anyone else in the depths right now😭

Hi, basically just wondering if anyone is in the same situation as me at the minute as I’m really struggling.
My little girl is nearly 9 months, has had a chest infection and currently nearly finished her antibiotics.
She also could be potentially getting more teeth but can’t feel anything.
She’s exceptionally wingy and crying a lot, nothing seems to sooth or make her happy. She doesn’t go in her bouncer for more than a couple of minutes without crying, plays on the floor for a few minutes again without crying. She will absolutely scream if I walk out of the room, I try walk back in calmly like it’s not a big deal to make her realise I do come back.
I just feel I am stuck, I don’t know if this is normal or if I just have a morngy/clingy baby, that probably sounds awful I just don’t know how to word it correctly.
Is this a development leap? Or separation anxiety or just teething and been more clingy?
She currently can sit unaided, stand by herself if I stand her up holding onto something.
She can’t crawl, she can almost bum shuffle.
Is it frustration from not being able to do things?
I just want advice or even just someone to tell me they’re on the same position as me.
Sorry for the rant just tired and worn out🥲

lol same over here to a T of what you’ve said. Except add on if I don’t do what he wants in 0.000000001 second expect him to go from whinging to full on meltdown. I think he’s just very in touch with his emotions tbh my boy. Doesn’t make me any less over stimulated especially when he’s learnt that grabbing my hair with both hands putting his forehead on mine and me trying to stop him makes him cackle with laughter. Think I birthed the devil tbh X
I joke I love him loads but yes it’s a difficult stage to say the least. Hoping it is a phase and does get better

Separation anxiety is a developmental leap, and to add teething in there... Oof, I'm sorry.
It honestly sounds normal.
Playing peekaboo helped a lot with my baby, but YMMV as all babies are different.
I can tell you, it is just a phase. Unfortunately, separation anxiety is one of those things that's like on and off and it can last up to 5 yo, and you won't know where your baby fits until it's all done.
It will pass, though!

Sending solidarity because my 8 month old baby is exactly the same. She’s on her last day of antibiotics for a throat infection and she’s gone from the happiest baby to crying the second I try and put her down 😭 it’s exhausting. I don’t know whether she’s still just feeling a bit poorly or like you say, separation anxiety/development leap. Don’t remember this stage with my first but it may well have happened 😅 x

Yup that's the age where separation anxiety is starting as a normal development phase but combined with teething and feeling poorly they do seek comfort a lot more. My little one went through something similar when she was last ill. It's eased up a little since she's recovered but she still cries with every drop off at the childminder and I'm still the go to person for all her comfort needs. When she's tired and grumpy she just wants me and nobody else, sometimes I just have to baby wear to get things done.

Do you stick to the 30 minute car seat advice ?

We live in a small village and the 2 nearest cities are around 45 minutes from us. Seems silly to get the baby out for the sake of 15 minutes

Stepkids (12F, 17M) hating the new pregnancy.. how to handle?

Hey everyone, looking for advice on navigating some tough stepfamily dynamics.

My partner and I have been together for a while. There was a lot of drama with his ex at the beginning, so the kids didn't like me initially. I get why the transition was hard, but we're running into a wall now that I gave birth.

The 12-year-old daughter has been super moody and upset about the pregnancy, especially stressing over whether it's a girl (we waited till I gave birth to find out the gender). On a recent FaceTime (which included the ex and the 17yo son), she literally sat in the background the whole time texting, ignoring us completely.

It really unsettled me especially the thought of her resentment if I had a daughter. I gave birth to a baby boy but still.

How do you guys handle stepkids who are openly resentful about a new baby, and how do you set boundaries with FaceTime calls when the ex is involved? Any advice is appreciated!

Getting angry

So recently my 2 year old has learned that he gets mad/ frustrated . Some girl took the ball from him like 2 times and the 3rd time he got mad and kinda growled but like when you’re mad. Then I bought him Legos and he’s learning some pieces are hard to stick together well he built a tower and screamed I’m mad right now ! And I told him it’s ok take a deep breath and let’s pick them up. And I just started reading tiny humans big emotions. Now I guess I better hurry up but for now how do you guys handle situations like these especially in public I know it starts at home but I need advice for both just so I don’t tell him the wrong thing and make him feel like he can’t cry or have feelings

Baby boy changes clothes 😳

Just fully changed vest and pjs number 4 or 5 in 24 hours oh myyyyyy. Between sneaky pees while changing nappy, poop or pee leak, and spit ups my washing is crazy! Usually 2 sleeping bags and at least 1 new sheet per each night also due to spit ups in bed 😖😖😖 ps spit ups are small but somehow with angle he soaks his whole arm so I have no choice… And of course they HATE the changing and scream!
