Potty training

Made the plunge on Friday. LO has been completely naked waist down the last three days. We’ve had very few successes on the potty or toilet. But when she does a wee she will tell me and point to the wipes to clean herself and the puddle. Success has been with poo on the toilet. I have been watching her like a hawk and she really doesn’t show any signs that she’s about to do a wee. Is it just a case of preserving until it clicks?! Any tips are very welcome at this point

I haven't started yet with my boy but would having pants on help so she feels wet? I've heard about how kids just don't have the sensation of being wet so don't equate weeing with discomfort.

Following for more tips!

Hello!!! I am a mum who has completed this mission with my little one!!!
So obviously every little one is different! But with my daughter I constantly got her to sit on the toilet every 15 minutes and every time she had a wee or poop in the potty I would give her a sticker to put on her sticker chart!! That worked wonders!! Because then after only a few days she would sit on the toilet and try. Eventually she got it! Didn’t take too long for us luckily but maybe give that a go!! Make it a game!! Then it’s fun for them :). Hope that helps ❤️

We started 10 days ago.

Days 1-3 adult led, half successes

Days 4-6 VERY MESSY! we nearly gave up. So overwhelming and felt like he just wasn’t getting it at all. Dad was overwhelmed and prompting too much.

Days 7-9 I can honestly say something has clicked and he’s smashed it! 1 accident in car on these days. The rest success. So glad we persevered. So proud of him.

Day 10 TODAY back with Nan and back with his childminder tomorrow. He’s had 2 accidents today but I’m optimistic.

It’s so hard and such a journey. I honestly believe we wouldn’t have been able to send him back to the childminder any sooner with success. That full week off with weekends either side were definitely needed.

You got this 🥰

We just started (again) yesterday! Did you read/listen to the book Oh Crap? We are mostly following it so far. Based on this method, don’t put pants on her until she can pee on the toilet consistently. Do you remind your little one that pee doesn’t go on the floor but in the potty after she misses? Mine fought me yesterday initially, but after a few half successes and me reminding him every time when he missed that he needs to pee in the potty please, he seemed to get it without drama. I will add that we already tried it over a month ago and stopped because of daycare (he regressed very badly there), so maybe that’s why he got it relatively fast this time. We also just bought thermal stickers that we stick to the potty and it reveals a picture when my LO pees on it, and perhaps that’s been a game changer too. He now goes to potty by himself and pees. Sometimes I prompt him, and he’ll just go and try to pee. Best of luck!

Also, try to catch her when she’s peeing, not after she’s done peeing. When you see her peeing, tell her something like: honey hold it please, let’s move you to pee on the potty - and carry her to it. As soon as I saw my son peeing, I would do this, lift him up, which would stop him peeing halfway and then we would continue once he’s on the potty. Your daughter knows she’s peed, she now needs to observe when she’s peeing, then recognize when she needs to pee before she does.

I’m thinking I may by some potty training pants for nursery and when we are out and about. Just so we don’t go back to nappies but she gets the feeling of being wet

Please help... are my feelings wrong?

I'll make this short, my fiancee does nightshift I don't ask much from my him im always the one taking care of our son, cleaning, making food, ect. So he has nothing to worry about when hes off my frustration is today I needed to go to town and he got up earlier then normal 3:00 and he said he would be awake because he cant go back to sleep, so I asked if he could take me to town because I had errands to run and I really needed to do them because I would have absolutely no time the rest of the week. And he started complaining he didn't want to go anywhere because he wanted rest and basically a day off... and so yes apart of me kinda got a bit upset because damn... I would love a day off actually, no responsibilities from our child from cleaning cooking ect running errands, but why is it he gets a day off? Why does he get absolutely no responsibilities besides staying in his room playing video games and relaxing, I haven't gotten that kinda rest since our sons been born my relax time is at night when he goes to bed.. but even then I have to do dishes ect reset. Then when I brought it up to him he just shut down the conversation and I wasn't being hostile I was just genuinely asking like I also work a full time job like he does and I get home and do stuff, why is it I ask one thing which is to be taken to town and it becomes a whole issue....

Couples with 0 childcare

How do you get the spark back?! All I see is people going away for the night with their partner or having quality time together, but we can’t do that, we have no one to look after them. Other than nursery we have no other childcare what so ever. We feel like lodgers and desperately need to get the spark back, has anyone else been in this position and what did you do?!

Motherhood has made my life miserable. Will it ever change?

My baby is 8 months old, has not slept through the night once yet with multiple wake ups. Contact naps during the day. I’m EBF the baby. I get no time to myself. I have a partner who does the bare minimum most of the time. I’m so tired mentally and physically. I don’t want to do this anymore. I regret becoming a mom. My relationship with my partner will never be the same. As now I have so much resentment towards him that will never go away. I ruined my life.

What The Actual F***

Is anyone else beyond exhausted with everything and everyone?

I’m a single mom, once again, except now me and BD live together (FM-healing).
I work full time as a receptionist at a post acute rehab for seniors, which should be the easiest thing in my life, but is actually the absolute worse, because the nurses are miserable and rude, so are the patients, and I am the punching bag.
I decided this year that I was going to sign back up for school, so now I’m in an accelerated program that feels like hell. Not to mention that I decided to sign myself up for the board, because I thought it would be a chance for me to make friends and be around like-minded go-getters, just to be the person who carries everyone’s weight.
I never get to see my baby, except for at night time, and by then I am emotionally and physically exhausted from the day that the last thing I want to do is sit on the floor and play cars with him, which makes me feel like the worse mom ever. Did I mention, I’m still in love with his dad?

Ten, Sixteen, and Twenty-five year old me dreamed of this life for so long, but never knew this is what I was asking for. Sometimes I wish I could just disappear, and sometimes I wonder if anyone would even notice.
