4/5 weeks and fighting sleep!

Is anyone else’s little one fighting sleep both during the day and on a bedtime? My little one is showing all the signs of being tired, even down to his little eyes closing, but he’s constantly forcing himself to stay awake and is exceeding the recommended wake window time. Does anyone have any tips?

When my boy was 3-4 weeks old he fought sleep so bad!! Maybe try white noise, rocking? That’s what worked for him it took ages but head scratches too!!

My little one is 6 weeks and literally is doing the same thing! He screamed for 2 hours this evening and he was just tired 🥲 I genuinely have no advice but I’m commenting to let you know you’re not alone!

From 5 weeks up to now at 6 weeks old, she’ll only fall asleep if she’s on me or there’s some kind of movement. During the day it’s manageable because I can take her out in the car or for a walk, but nighttime has been a real struggle it can take anywhere from three to four hours to get her to sleep.

Last night worked a little better. I gave her a warm bath, followed by a gentle massage, then put her in her sleeping bag with just a babygrow underneath (no vest). I’d been adding a vest before, but without it she seemed to sleep longer and more settled.

Same boat. 6 weeks tomorrow and she has hardly been napping in the day. This evening she was crying none stop so I put her in the carrier and she slept for two hours. Just about to attempt sleep in the cot, wish us luck 🤞🏻

Baby poops

I’m going alittle crazy! My ebf 11 week old for the past 3 weeks will only poop every 6 days. Brought it up to the pediatrician and I’ve done everything they told us to do. Bicycle kicks, tummy rubs, rectal temp check, warm baths and even a suppository. He is very low on the percentile like 9% so I feel like he isn’t holding on to the milk and about day 4 he is so uncomfortable. We took him to the ER Saturday and they did a xray and just told us he had gas. Went to a follow-up peds appointment and they started him on liquid Pepcid due to possible silent reflux. He burps & farts during/ after feeds. We give mylicon or gripe water for the gas discomfort which helps sometimes. I have a feeling this isn’t normal especially when he used to poop everyday.
Pic so we don’t get lost

Sex..

I’m really not interested at all 8 weeks post partum and my husband has been asking. I had a traumatic birth with forceps, an episiotomy and a small tear in vagina. We didn’t really have sex during pregnancy and that was fine as we were both a little weirded out by it!

I just wanted to check if others have felt the same!

Advice

My baby is 2 weeks old and it truly seems like she hates me.
I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong. My husband can easily calm her down but I can’t seem to do the same. She will be totally fine with him and the second he passes her to me, she will start crying.
I’m having a really hard time with it. Any advice?

Placenta Encapsulation

Curious what everyone is planning to do with their placenta after birth. Has anyone tried encapsulation, or is anyone considering it?

I’ve been looking into the process and would love to hear real experiences, good or bad. Is it worth it?
