I’ve just found out I’m pregnant but my 14 month old is still breastfeeding and showing no signs of self weaning and feeds to sleep every nap and night time I’m honestly trying to grasp how this is going to work if he still isn’t weaned before baby arrives, also can’t imagine weaning him as he just loves his boobie and the thought of rocking him for 30+ mins to try get him to sleep without feeding with a big bump or a newborn is boggling my brain also😂 do I wean before my bump get big and baby arrives or attempt to tandem feed but im worried about jealousy etc help a stressed hormonal girl out 😂

I was in the exact same boat, my girl near enough weaned herself when I got to around 6 months pregnant, only feeding once every couple of days, but right towards the end she would ask for it more. Fast foward I now have a newborn and a nearly 2 year old that wants to feed every time my newborn does. I really don't mind for now but hoping she will somehow wean herself, although I can't see it 😅 but hey I'm proud for feeding 2 of them! It's also cute my toddler strokes my newborns hair when they are both feeding. So it absolutely can work it's just what you are comfortable with really😊

Your milk changes back to colostrum at 20 weeks. Your eldest may self wean at that time.

I’ll be in this same boat and wondered the same thing. My son’s almost 14 months and is nursing more now that I’ve been pregnant. Going on 10 weeks/ due in October.
Sure whatever happens will be for the best outcome :) we got this mama!
