Please help, my 7 month old will not sleep at night unless he is latched. He delatches and immediately relatches or if I move away before he relatches, he cries until he’s latched again. He will lot take a pacifier for me. Idk what to do. I’m at the point where I want to stop breastfeeding mainly because of it but I don’t know how to wean him. He doesn’t like to take a bottle from me either. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
(I am a single mother doing it alone, first time mom)

Have you tried slipping the pacifier in quickly after baby falls asleep, I don’t have much tips as I’ve never had this problem but this might just be a situation where your both gonna have to tough out the crying with cuddle and patience till he’s too tired for a couples nights. I hate the cry it out method but when babies get attached to bad habits sometimes it seems like the only way.

I had the same issue and I just dealt with it sadly. I breast fed on demand until he sucked me dry up until he was alittle over a year. Mine wouldn’t take a bottle or paci either. Started taking a flat sippy very easily once I stopped nursing thank god. I had 0 issues weaning. I don’t have much advice I’m sorry breastfeeding like that is so demanding and hard but so worth it in the end.

We had this and it is only a phase. It will as usually when teething or something else going on…

So sorry. Mine all 3 wouldn't take any kind of pacifier and only 1 took a bottle at all. Definitely keep trying to soothe, maybe rub gently on the side of his jaw to relax it a bit... and don't try to replace just slowly pull off after softly stroking his jaw right near the ear going down the jaw and neck. Perhaps also looking into some cranial sacral work might help. Just some momma gut speak, not really sure, I'm pretty holistic but maybe some natural message to calm him a bit more and let him relax while you just hold him
