Naps!

My 12 (almost 13) week old little boy has only had two 30 minute naps today😢 he wasn’t fussy or crying, but would lay there grinning at me instead of sleeping. I tried rocking him but he would cry when being held… only wanted to be in his crib.
We finally got him to sleep when we went out in the car this evening and has gone down well now. Is this normal that he is fighting naps so much? He normally naps well during the day, either contact naps or in his crib! Any tips for if this happens again tomorrow?

My nearly 4 month old has started this the past few days, very stressful but I think its normal. We also only had a couple of very short naps today!

My little ones just over 12 weeks old and he is currently fighting his naps something terrible😔

Yes my 14 week old boy is the same, and will now only contact nap or if I'm lucky he will go down in the crib for the first bit of the nap and then he will wake and I'll rescue it by contact napping. Think it is very normal at this age.

I wouldn’t mind if he would contact nap because i’m quite happy to have an excuse to sit on the sofa and watch TV but he just doesn’t want to be held😭 i’m hoping this won’t be a regular thing!

We are having the same, I'm lucky to get 2-3 30 minute naps, I had the same phase with my first so I know it's just a phase, I'm just putting my LO down earlier at night to make up for his lack of daytime sleep, it'll pass and they'll go back to longer naps, just do what you can and if they fight too hard then stop trying and give yourself 10 and try again, if mine fights and doesn't want to sleep then I don't stress myself out like I used to with my first and I just do a reset with a bath or a nappy change, seems to help

Baby moisturiser (UK)

What are we using for baby moisturisers please ladies?
I started with aveeno because he has sensitive skin and had a lot of rashes when he was born, just can’t afford to spend £9 a bottle when we use it every day!😮‍💨
We’ve tried Aldi moisturiser and Johnson’s moisturiser, they are ok, just wondering what you guys use and would recommend? 🫶🏻

Hey everyone *im New here* 👋🏼

This is probably normal, My baby is six weeks today - in the daytime after a feed, change and tummy time he will go to sleep with no fussing etc in his DockAtot ( supervised ) i have now been taking him into his next to me instead for a nap as newborns sleep all the time.

But in his next to me hes very fussy and moves about a lot .. this is also the same in the night time, any suggestions?

Thank you ❤️x

Is nursery a bit out of line?

Today I learned that my son was “seen by someone” when picking him up. Apparently speech therapist saw him in the nursery to evaluate him and I only learned about it on pick up.

No warning, no even proper explanation of what triggered it. With one staff member saying “he is not speaking at all”, and another dismissing it and saying it’s completely normal.

And everyone seem to dismiss my shock as he is the most chatty happiest child at home.

So it triggers me that instead of finding a way to get him “open up” and make him feel secure so he starts speaking naturally. They now decided he needs to be “fixed” and probably push him into more anxiety with it. Without even consulting us.
