tell me if this is odd ? Me and Fiance been together for 8 years his mom had never wished me happy birthday despite if I’ve acknowledged hers. He confronted her abt this and she claims “ I’m not dating her so I don’t have to know it” . I’m not trying to dramatic but we’re getting married this year and I had her first grand child. She states she knows the month but not the day which is fine but any little acknowledgment would be nice . So I want to know do your in laws celebrate your birthday?

Mine don’t, but I don’t get along with (all of) them so I’ve also stopped acknowledging theirs, two can play that game🤷🏾♀️

Oh dang. My mil and I don't get along great but she at least knows my birthday. She comes to visit for Christmas and leaves me a gift for my birthday. (Jan 31)

Mine never did but I never make a big deal out of my birthday so I think that’s why they never acknowledged it but they expected us (my husband and I) to make a big stink for their’s lol

Yes but not for my mom and hubby they never really could remember it or care to for each other

Mine has everyone's on her calendar, she used to ask my hubby how we celebrate so she could join but ive bit heard her mention for years now and it doesn't bother me

So sorry for my mil does more for my birthday the last three years then my actual family does. My husband and I are also only three days apart so it’s always a big thing lol

I don’t expect my bday to be acknowledged by my MIL she only keeps up w the kids’ bdays as she gives them money in red pocket on their bdays. I invite my gfs a month in advance every year and we do something for my bday (and they invite me to theirs back) hubby will take me on a date night and I’ll make a “happy birthday to me” post on IG anyone who wanna comment can comment. I acknowledge my own bday and celebrate with who I want.
