Before I gave birth to my newborn I took my 3 year old to nursery and back in a stroller. The smallest things can trigger a tantrum. Next week my husband has to go into the office so cannot do the pick up. I want to use this as an opportunity to overcome my fear and do the pick up. I don't have a sling so will be putting newborn in the carrycot and get my 3 year old to walk to and from the bus stops. Has anyone got any tips or should I not send him? My newborn hates going out too and not sure if he'll cry throughout.

Try swaddling baby in the carry cot to both keep the warm in and make baby feel like they're being held x

Do you have a pram board? Or can you afford to buy one? I got one for my 3 year old and he absolutely loves it. It distracts him from being in a mood or having a tantrum because he sees it as a fun thing to do.

Agree with Sarah’s comment above my 2 year old loves his buggy board. We got one from Amazon for £35 and it has a seat on it as well so he can either sit or stand x

Also agree with the buggy board x
Do you have the links to yours. Willing to invest in one if it means I can get out the house.

Mine was one made specifically for my pram which I don't really like tbh. However if you just look on Amazon there's loads of universal ones on there, just read the reviews to make sure you're getting a decent one :)
